Yup. Could meet somewhere in between. I cant say that i know Kingswinford that well and Stourbridge is a little busy. Do you know the sports car garage at the bottom of Hagley hill? |

I raced Yesterday, did a way-to-long warmup with Tim Farnham from Bissell (and won a bet on the way) missed the split and got top 20-ish. All Told 70 miles ridden

No broken bones then Levi?
One of the races I did last year (Springtime Pursuits) are running at the moment, the 2nd one was stopped half way through the race due to a very very nasty pile up. (Caused by bad 4th cats unsurprisingly). One poor fellow broke his hip. Ow.
I'm not racing them this year. Mainly for fear of crossing wheels with those dreaded 4th cats.

hey, i'm a 4th cat, and i assure you my handling skills are fine. never been in a crash that was my fault
i think with the popularity of the sport at the moment you will see alot of newbies in 4th cat races who don't really know what they are doing. |

Yeah, unfortunately one of them each race has to win and get promoted to a 3rd cat. I think that the pre-requisite to becoming a 3rd cat should at least be 11 points (ie a win and a 10th place). That way, it's no fluke. Still, as a 3rd cat, I do get to race with Elites, so I'll keep doing that, and getting no results

so what races you got coming up early season rjc?
my calender looks like this at the moment
Paramount Circuit Races 7th, 14th, 21st March
Bill Jinks Memorial Road Race 29th March
Beacon club 20mtt 4th April
Two Counties RR 19th April
Beacon Little Mountain Time Trial 26th April.
Then i'll prob have a break in April before i concentrate on Time-Trials through the summer before doing some end of season races. it's always easier to score points at the end of the season if you can keep your motivation up. most people get fed up and have given up by august, like me last year.

Well, Bill Jinks is on my calender, but I've yet to sit down and actually plan or enter any races. I'd suggest if you want to do a road race to enter about a month in advance.
I might pop up for some Paramount Circuit races as well seeing as I got a 4th there last year in my first time riding the circuit. Nice course. Well, nice if you're off the front. Depends on when I'm home from uni of course.
Other than those, I imagine I'll probably start my season at Thames Velo Spring Road Race. I've done that race every year so far, and don't see why I should break my tradition
A taste of my races:
29/3 - Pittards Trophy RR (or) Bill Jinks Mem RR
4/4 - Somerset Road Club Spring Crit
5/4 - Thames Velo RR (or) Gerry Hughes Mem RR
10/4 - Castle Combe Easter Classic
11/4 - Somerset Road Club Spring Crit
12/4 - Maurice Denbigh RR
18/4 - Totnes Vire Stage Race
26/4 - Reading CC Spring RR
30/4 - Team Tor 2000 CS1
Then it's a little bit less well planned.
16/5 - L'Etape de la Defonce
31/5 - SW Divisional Champs
5-11/7 - Ras de Cymru

You keep off my wheel! I'd not be best pleased if I took you out, or you rode into my back wheel
