I have only found a very short (2 lines) article on ESPN.com telling of Levi's move so i would hesitate to confirm it. ESPN isn't exactly the place to get cycling news.

Levi: I think it's faiiirly certain that he and the rest of the "good" Disco boys are going to Astana. |

when even Levi4Life hesitates to confirm it, you can be damn sure this doesn't bode well for Leipheimer's reputation. sad.

Kim Andersen has scoffed the rumours that Vandborg might be back at CSC saying that he doesn't interest CSC because he only performs when put up between the sword and the wall. EDIT: I believe the english equivalent expression is "between a rock and a hard place"
I'm also wondering whether Riis is slightly stepping aside sooner than usual....because lately it's only been Andersen talking

Riis has several times denied that he will step back. He will use less time doing interviews, though.
And CSC will definitely not take Vandborg back. They have denied that many times now, saying that there was a reason why they didn't want to extend with him in the first place |

a reason which apparently was made abundantly clear now
if you remember last year, Riis announced he wasn't interested in re-signing Vandborg. later that day, he got 4th in the worlds ITT. that kind of proves the point.

I agree and that move also makes sense for a sponsor because they get a proven winner right away. The only thing is that I would have liked to see Levi not get signed by Astana because he is a skirt and does not have the stones to win a Grand Tour. Hopefully he will simply carry water bottles this season which is the only task that he is capable of doing well, besides being a little whining girl that is. |

Exept that Levi was 3rd in the TDF but that doesn't madder, let's do him the water carrier while there are dozens of worse people that could do it.

Levi is definitely capable of winning the Tour, but why is he going to Astana? They shouldn't even have a ProTour license:x

So whats Leipheimer's motive for going to Astana? Money or Dope?
It certainly isnt to lead the team at the Tour, theyve got Contador and/or Kloden for that.

Astana is obviously replacing there lost riders and manager. former manager replaced bu bruyneel.
duo vino/kasechkin replaced by contador/leipheimer
and in one week you'll see popovich signed them to replace kessler.
EDIT: allso to astana: Brajkovic, vaitkus, phaulino noval. do I see 2 teams merging???
