ToNE going better than expected for Suntory.
Bargain new boy Rabitsch making the breakaways and gobbling up KOM points.
Retrained Hepburn going well in GC.
Pedersen sprinting to 3 top 10s.

Still just one stage win for Cav this season, but lots of second places. Must have done well in the intermediate sprints to wear yellow for a day. 12th on the hilly stage, very good, he's our only GC hope, but the ITT will hurt.

Silvestre is having a really good race at the ToNE with 2 Top 5s already. Jungels als not too bad, but getting beaten by Durbridge, Mullen, Cavendish and so forth on the hilly stage just hurts quite a lot, but with a good TT he could still put himself in a good position, so let's see. In general though he has been very disappointing so far, maybe I didn't use him correctly.

Kittel solid in Tour of NE but thrilled by Mullen, 3rd on stage 3 was undoubtedly his ride of the season. Be a good time for him to get some TT luck.

KBC U23 put five in the top 25 and take the team lead after stage 1, but finish last in the team comp by the end. Good to see we are keeping our focus.

Probably the best stage race performance by our juniors so far. Top 10 on every stage, plus 6th and 12th in the GC in Mauritius - well done!
And congrats again to Tinxia for signing EBH - he's doing an absolutely insane season, would never have expected him to be that successful!

Good to see Marcel strong in Vattenfall after he was underwhelming in his home tour. Not quite the dominant performance by the rest of the team as in some of the other classics but we actually won this one so guess that is the better option.

Mullen with a great race in Northern Europe, love 2nd on the GC, and a TT in which he wasn't terrible. Kittel also really consistent just losing time on the cobbles, then stealing the points at the end from Cavendish.
Best race by the team when Quintana isn't riding, by a long way.
Congrats to Krisa and Kwiat, proving his all-round skills..

Not "stealing" the green jersey, surely. I'm happy Cav finished 2nd in the classification, he had the early lead thanks to some luck in the intermediate sprints but his stage results just weren't good enough.
Not that we'd have a better GC result in any case, but I wonder how the AI handled my team in this race. It looks like Cav was made GC captain instead of Stannard, but then again he had no protection on the tougher stages as the videos showed.

With a line-up made mostly by our young guns top 10 at Criterium Hainleite is quite good. I can live with that. |
