It was great watching the penalties where I was
I was at my "leaving school prom", which was basically a disco in suits and prom dresses. We wandered through to the other room periodically to check the score just in time to see Croatia score, then we went back to the prom. Then we came back out 5 minutes later and it was penalties
There was all the lads in our suits watching the penalties and shouting at Croatia for missing. There were these American people taking photos of us watching the football in our suits
It looked like a boring game from the very slight bits I saw.

Russia are deservedly leading the match against Netherlands with 1-0

Of course. As aquarius mentioned, Holland has the luxury of never playing in the sweltering heat of 5 o'clock that phisically destroyed players and I'd like to add they also had the rare luxury of always playing in the same stadium.
Now that both those "privileges" have been withdrawn and they're playing fair with other teams, they're no longer "running around forever, yet magically still fresh physically".
And it shows.

The underdogs are winning all the matches in the quarter finals... Strange...
Oh, and by underdogs I mean all the 2nd placed teams.

But nice because it really shows that everything can happen in football (and sports).. The EC has been really unpredictable
The Dutch are really quiet today

It's the other way around. It's too predictable.

Pavlyuchenko has to be the best striker of the tournament. He has a killer instinct I haven't seen in a while... He will be great in a couple of years if he moves to a more competitive league.

Well Arshavin is the best player on the pitch today.. He's Russias best player by far..
I would say David Villa has been the best striker of the tournament so far.. |

Yes, but Arshavin is a world class player already.
About Villa, for some reason I really don't like him... I don't have any reason for that, I just don't like him...

Strange.. No but we all have players that we like and players that we dislike ..
I don't like David Villa that much myself but I simple can't deny the fact that he has been playing really well so far.. |

Pavlyuchenko misses to much to be the best striker. Against Greece he missed everything |
