Well the climb as expected was lame and easy.
So sad for those who lost their chances here..
Finetto will be disappointed, this was the stage he targeted at Giro and this happened..

Nice win for Matthews, though. What a ride by him. You didn't answer before: When could they ride again? |

I didn't pay attention, but were BMC already riding when the crash happened or they started when they saw the others went down?

Didn't look pretty but it's 10 km to go, besides it's cycling and shit happens... you know.
So people need to let it go and stop hating on Evans. |

Wish we could see some footage of the big crash at the roundabout to at least get a gauge of what actually happened

He took advantage of a massive crash. |

Relax! Evans will drop back in the 3rd week. Evans never had any friends to begin with.
Poor RodrÃguez. I really hoped he could win a GC.

Looking at the size of Evans' group, this wasn't simply to continue to ride. This was an attack onto the peloton, who was all but caught up. There were 5-6 riders in that group, and they rode full pace. It was an attack on riders that could not answer at that point. This has nothing to with "BMC did ride before" or "they didn't cause the crash".
Oh, and don't expect me to cheer for Matthews either. Guy has no class in pink.
EDIT: in any case, the only thing that people, some riders and some fans, take as a legitimate reason to stop a race seems to be death.

He took advantage of a massive crash. Here are the facts: His team was already at the front, so he had intentions of upping the pace before the crash. When they crashed who should he wait for? There were several groups with several leaders down. Should he just wait for your personal favourite? They couldn't possibly know who were fine and who were hurt, so no way of knowing when to start riding. Who should get the stage win?
What about Matthews? He took as much advantage of the situation as Evans. His teammates took turns at the front too, robbing other potential stage winners of their chance, yet people seem to be congratiolating him.
And no, I'm not an Evans fan, far from it. |

Matthews did nothing wrong at all, Evans maybe but not Matthews, Wellens, Rabotini.

McCarthy doesn't quite fit into that second group for me, I'd expect that to actually be him.
