Cav just finished now. In a big group, outside time limit.
I guess they will be allowed to start tomorrow anyway, because of the amount of riders who finished outside the time limit?

what was the actual average speed?
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

It's OK. They will be allowed to stay in the race.

Yeah there's no point in having a limit if it's not going to be enforced. Even if it means only 70 people finish the tour. Wouldn't be good for sprinters though. |

no, it'll be -20 points.
Cavendish should still lead.

I don't think so. He didn't finish amongst the 79 riders who were inside the time limit at least.

I wouldn`t be too fast. Last time the big gruppetto also came in and weren`t in the list. Just the first five of them.
So I think the +31min group around Dean is the gruppetto and more riders will appear with this time. |

Roturn, from twitter, pretty sure Dean group is ahead of Gruppetto.
---
Its all up to the race jury.
But if a group 20% of the peloton size or greater comes in, then theres a good chance they will be allowed to stay in the race.
BUT, they all get a points penalty. Thoughts are it could 20 points, but again, thats up to the jury
