Ok, I´ll stop being ignorant and try accepting fact, that numbers within team have zero impact on AI behaviour. I just made another big mistake in planning by sending very weak support to my elite sprinter.
Rin, I don´t think it was mistake to send Mohs here though, even without chance to win GC. Just imagine he´d dominate in sprints (as I hoped for ): after short TTT and 7 flat stages he´d be at the top of GC, collecting nice sum of points every day. Quite good compensation for losing his chances for overall standings in cobble stage. Plus like last year, there is always chance that peloton will stay passive on cobbles. Only Blythe went away and secured overall win for 100% Me. Loddo and Mohs completed podium after last stage. And comparing to Tour of Southland? That race is only one day shorter , with TTT and 2 hard hilly finishes. It means 6 chances for sprint win instead of 8 here (I don´t have any suitable rider for overall in this kind of races). Once again, thank you for your time and attention
Now, let´s close this topic as it is (again) OT

That happens when they crash and get too injured to continue

Its a crash. The game just doesnt have a crash animation for when the rider is also abandoning. Kami should have known that really

It's like in a mass crash, most riders fall down and 1 or 2 riders just stop and stand next to their bike until they abandon.

I think this has been answered before, but I can't find it, so I'll ask again.
Does anyone know how to edit the DB sheet so that all stats from 70-79 are shown in green, all 80+ in red, etc... ? Because at the moment it only works in a few of the columns. Thanks in advance.

In excel you should find a bottom called "delete format" or similar (in my version it´s on the right side). Select all fields you want to colour, delete the format and then recolour them with the two bottoms for background and letter colour.

Thanks, felix.
I found the "delete format" option, but could you please explain how to colour them after that. I don't quite understand how you meant in your previous post.

Then all the cells will be the same colour, wont they?
At least for me. Isn't some sort of format necessary?

The formatting on the Man-Game excel is not done like Felix illustrated. It's done through "Conditional Formatting". On the image above it's the spreadsheet with blue and red bars on the top menu, just right of the middle of the screen.
There you can make a set of rules to determine the color of each cell.

Actually it will do also to sort these stats at least at OpenOffice you can sort at first the stat you want to see sorted, let's say hills and then sort the teams.
So you have the list sorted by the teams and their best hill rider at first of the team.

"Conditional Formatting" is much faster indeed. I just didn´t know excel had such an option.
My method works just as good but takes much longer...

Not really sure where to put it, so it goes here - any tips on how to run a successful continental team? I don't plan on staying for too long |

Well, for starters you could trade Dekker for Cornu

Yeah, first thing is definately to get rid of Dekker. Too high a wage and too little racedays. Get someone like Serpa instead (Yes I know he is in my team, but someone like him. Couldn't come up with a better example ).
Hilly riders seems to be good aswell.

Yes. You need someone that doesn't demand too much money, can win plenty of things and also has a lot of races days. That might sound a little bit too much, but there are plenty of riders that fit that profile. Just look at someone like Cesare Di Maggio.
For me, having having a good hills team in the CT means success at the moment. Just look at Bianchi this year, Wiggle last year or even Sony Ericsson two years ago.
But you could also try my thing and go with time - trialists. After all, using that strategy, I didn't spend too much time in the CT

I would avoid mountains, there are to many good climbers, it's hard unless you have the best of them.
For hills however, you can build a team of 76 hill riders more easily, and they pick up more points than a 76 mountain rider.
Avoid the famous races as well, if a race has a random name, it probably has a weaker field.
