Gianni still doing well in Trentino
Overall:
General classification after stage 2
1 Janez Brajkovic (Slo) Astana 4.10.07
2 Ivan Basso (Ita) Liquigas 0.04
And finally Basso beginning to show some form.
Stage 2 finished with a climb and none of the other Giro 'contenders' were able to hold on.
Robbie Hunter won today's stage. Anyone see or hear of Soler yet this year?

Im hoping brakjovic will race the giro because he could get a top ten especially with the long time trial. I know its hilly but you have to have some time trialing ability. Does anyone know if he is racing it and also kloden?? |

His climbing doesn't seem to be good enough for it, much less considering that that particular time trial is mostly climbing and bike handling.

They are both slated to ride it, yes.

Then that's news to me. Last I heard was a week and a half ago when Astana released a preliminary list of 6 riders who were confirmed, and he was in it. |

Banana for Basso.
Wrong topic, but in terms of Freiburg, I'm more interested in seeing if Zabel was telling porky pies a year or so ago. |

This is from cycling news after his TT win this week
Trentino is a testing bed for many of the Giro d'Italia contenders, but Klöden will skip the Italian Grand Tour next month to concentrate on supporting Armstrong and Alberto Contador at the Tour de France, July 4 to 26.
"I want to go the Tour with the best condition. The Giro is not to my style, but the Tour climbs are good for me, not so steep but very consistent in rhythm and length."
