Froome will gain time on Quintana and Purito. If he can gain on Contador is different story, because this year Contador has had bad TT like Tirreno and good TT like at Pais Vasco where he was just 10 sec down on Martins. Same with Valverde, you don't know what he will do. |

Martin fastest at 1st check. 2nd part should suit him more. No way he is losing now. |

I wasnt expecting so big gaps either i wonder how many time will Purito lose against Froome it could be easy more then 2 min
I don't think so and I certainly don't hope so. Guess it'll be rather close together.
On the other hand it could be a god thing. If Purito and the others lose more than 1 min to Froome they will be force to atrack like crazy in the Mountains with another TT left to be worried about where he will destroy them again.

If Contador does the TT like Tirreno even Quintana can pass him today and he will loose a lot on Froome.
But if he does like Pais Vasco he might have red at the end of the day.

Hm, talking about T. Martin, where's good old Kirchen_75? Havn't seen him around for a while.

With this gaps I assume the gaps between the GC favourites will be big as well

Coppel doing a Pozzovivo here
I don't think he will keep this tempo till the end.

1st check is over that cat 3 hill, so I expected climbers and GC favourites will be faster than this. |

For those wondering, Coppel loses 54" from Martin at the 26.1 km intermediate.
Edit: Freire'd

Coppel a minute down on the next intermediate. Evans 3rd behind Cancellara and Martin.

Cancellara having a sook about the road surface
"It was not just hills, there were downhills, false flats but the asphalt was bad," he said.
"For the overall contenders I don't know what it will be like but this is how it is. I'd hoped they look for better roads. I did what I could and that was my goal. My only doubt was for my safety and I couldn't find my rhythm."

But still he had a great TT. So he could've won |
