Your rider is accepted as he is, as The Hobbit says a decent allrounder. We now have 8 riders still looking for a team and 6 new managers, this shouldn't take this long to be honest..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Except most of these new "managers" have disappeared already.

Exactly. My only custom rider is riding for a team where the manager hasn't updated his thread this year. So, I choose no to upgrade my custom rider (Milosevic).
It might be a good idea to get rid of a significant number of the custom riders at the end of the season (mainly the ones where the managers/ creators don't care for). By all means get rid of the rider I created.
At least 50 % of the custom riders have uninventive names or ridiculous stats as there seems to be unnecessary pressure for EVERY single custom rider to be a future world no.1.
The riders should be inventive, different and unique like the Iranian, Alinejad, I have at RadioShack! Or well named like....... Magnus Goblinsson! |

All inactive riders will be removed at the end of the season.

I agree with removing those from people who disappear, thats a given.
I see no reason to get rid of those that are active though. Why does role playing have to mean some unique aspect like a non-standard country? I am British so i want a British rider. I like pure climbers so i want a pure climber. Cheli is just cause i can be that bit odd with him.
The only pressures you create for yourself. If you want you rider to be world #1 that's your choice. It's just as easy to make/play a domestique if you wanted. Managers can't make that pressure because you can just leave the team at the end of the season. Other players can't pressure you. If you are worried your rider won't win because others have huge stats then that's you making the pressure to win, not them. I don't care if another custom rider wins, like i wouldn't care if a real ride won. My riders are mine, with my goals and ideas, no-one elses.
And that uniqueness is entirely optional. I'd find it impossible to role play an Iranian cyclist seriously. It would just be a joke, but if there were three of them the joke disappears and you have three idiot cyclists. In fact i dislike some of the "unique" ones more than the OP ones, because they are unrealistic people. 23yo's can be world class, but an Iranian? I doubt that one will ever be a world beater. Cut them out for being unrealistic!

@ TMM If you have such a penchant for realism then you probs shouldn't be playing a game like PCM.... it is a game! For me one of the best parts about PCM is seeing riders from obscure cycling nations triumphing.
Or would you rather see a western European rider win Paris Roubaix + the like for the next 100 years? (Cause I sure as hell wouldn't) |

And i like seeing realism in my game and would rather see a classic nation win Roubaix every year yes, instead of Rwandan or Vietnamese.
But i wasn't the one who said it would be an idea to cut down on the more normalized riders, that was you.

I'm personally offended!
No but seriously, i see both sides. I actually think Lue is realistic enough, he rode long distances over entirely cobbled roads as a bike courier all his life, so why shouldn't someone like him have a decent shot at winning a cobbled race?

Then we have a problem
New WT teams can sign 1 rider, new CT teams 2. All other teams can't sign riders yet.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, I'm giving people a chance to fill the new teams a bit. I'm willing to make an exception for the last bunch, but at the moment there's not enough signings yet. If it doesn't change I'll have to assign again.
