This is a cracking read Kissaha, kinda quietly lurking reading through this. Superb longevity though and I like the French super team angle. Just wondering if Pinot is going to go after the Tour this year - or is it another year in his development?

I will be interested to watch the World Champion Offredo and Vermote double act on the cobbled stuff.

Should be a very exciting season - teams are getting wierd but it adds to the interest for me!

El Fares wins the stage, Offredo didn't have the legs to follow and finished 5th. Mondory finished the stage in the pack.

Many thanks for your kind words, it really makes me want to keep this story going Smile

Pinot will go for the Tour this year, but I don't expect him to win it, I think it is a year too early. Coppel will be our rider for the Giro, and if you read my Moods story you know that I have gotten good results with him there before...

My main focus last transfer season was to strengthen our cobbled team, and I think I did quite well Smile Vermote is maybe my best signing through my whole PCM career, so I'm very pleased with signing him.

And you are right about the wierd team compositions, but it makes the races more unpredictable than when you start the career .

Stage 4 -- Norwood - Goolwa

img683.imageshack.us/img683/7794/4tduprofile.jpg

img263.imageshack.us/img263/3609/4tdu1.jpg
Our first proper sprint train in quite a while, Vermote -> Offredo -> Vanmarcke -> Chainel -> Mondory

img814.imageshack.us/img814/8918/4tdu2.jpg
Chainel gently places Mondory on Farrars wheel

img641.imageshack.us/img641/1374/4tdu3.jpg
Van Poppel with a surprising win, and Mondory manages to outsprint Farrar for second. Yet a good result for Mondory.

I hope so! Smile

But I must be realistic, and beating Cavendish and Farrar in a sprint with Mondory isn't something I can demand.

Stage 5 -- Snapper Points - Willunga

img691.imageshack.us/img691/5577/5tduprofile.jpg

img33.imageshack.us/img33/5113/5tdu1.jpg
Vanmarcke in todays break, primarily to snatch the climber jersey

img5.imageshack.us/img5/5172/5tdu2.jpg
He takes the first sprint, but as you can see the peloton isn't far behind. Vanmarcke also won a sprint, and the bonus seconds will prove to be important.

img31.imageshack.us/img31/2805/5tdu3.jpg
Farrar and Mondory dropping off the second time over Willunga Hill, Cavendish lost contact on the last lap. Offredo and Vanmarcke are still in the front group

img829.imageshack.us/img829/3140/5tdu4.jpg
Mondorys group is near to get in touch with the front group, but doesn't manage to get the last few seconds

img153.imageshack.us/img153/7516/5tdu5.jpg
Boonen opens the sprint and Offredo is struggling to get his wheel

img545.imageshack.us/img545/3619/5tdu6.jpg
Matthew Lloyd wins and Offredo is 5th

img856.imageshack.us/img856/5005/5tdu7.jpg
Mondory lost over a minute, so his hopes of a good position in the overalls is gone

Stage 6 -- Adelaide - Adelaide

img839.imageshack.us/img839/3750/6tduprofile.jpg
Last chance for a stage win...

img851.imageshack.us/img851/8395/6tdu1.jpg
Doing the same sprint train as last flat stage.

img153.imageshack.us/img153/5569/6tdu2.jpg
But Mondory lost contact with Chainel, so we will try to get Vanmarcke on the podium for some bonus seconds

img101.imageshack.us/img101/8339/6tdu3.jpg
Vanmarcke currently in 3rd!

img560.imageshack.us/img560/8797/6tdu4.jpg
Cavendish wins! Vanmarcke is 3rd and therefore jumps up a position
