I think he went too early, leaping 42 km out is just too far in my opinion |

Final general classification
1 Luis-Leon Sanchez (Spa) Caisse d'Epargne
2 Fränk Schleck (Lux) Team Saxo Bank 1.00
3 Sylvain Chavanel (Fra) Quick Step 1.09
4 Alberto Contador (Spa) Astana 1.24
5 Antonio Colom (Spa) Team Katusha 1.47
6 Jens Voigt (Ger) Team Saxo Bank 1.59
7 Kevin Seeldrayers (Bel) Quick Step 2.29
8 Jonathan Hivert (Fra) Skil-Shimano 2.57
9 Yury Trofimov (Rus) BBox Bouygues Telecom 3.37
10 Christophe Le Mevel (Fra) Française des Jeux 4.00
Interesting Top 10... I wouldn't have put a lot of these guys there to begin with... Antonio Colom, Kevin Seeldrayers, Jonathan Hivert and Christophe Le Mevel all surprised me...
Chavanel 3rd here. A bit better than I would've thought and Gárate ending up in 13th or so, I said he would be around 10th so my bet wasn't all fucked up, eventhough someone said elseway :-) |

Colom was 3rd four years ago against a stronger field...

Frank Schleck is inshape, no doubt about that. I think he will get some great results in this years hilly-classics. |

Great stage, and I'm extremely happy with the fact that Contador didn't manage to pull off a Landis |

Chavanel is the biggest suprise, for me. Certainly if you compare his climbing from last year... where he was also in super form, to this year. |

Well to me those were surprising... I don't find it surprising that Colom was in top 10, but 4th is more than I expected from him... Seeldrayers is just a guy I know very very little about so he surprised me... I would've though he was a talent like Chris Anker and would end up somewhere in the 20s |

Seeldrayers is very young but already a good climber. I don't know much about him though but i know belgians say that he will become a nice climber, but of course you can doubt them because they don't have much of them

I know the Belgians horribly overrate their riders, especially when they have somewhat of a capability uphill. But Seeldrayers is a nice climber, not near the level of other 22-year olds like Andy Schleck of Robert Gesink, but good nonetheless, for that age |
