yeah, but what matters for Euskaltel is whether or not you lived in the basque country as a youth and whether or not you rode for a basque amateur team. they won't sign basque guys who didn't ride for basque junior teams when they were young. it's a matter of where you grew up for cycling, not where you were born
They're not like Athletic Bilbao who just goes "you're a good player and we like you. if anyone asks, say you've got a basque grandmother"

A part of Basque Country lays in France. So perhaps there are some French Basque riders he can sign if he wants to keep it stick with Basque riders. |

sure, but not always. As an example, Iker Casillas, despite his first name is not Basque.

Hey all I had to go in a hurry yesterday, sorry bout that And again, thanks for all the comments. I'll update more when i get home from work today in about 4 hours or so.
About the transfers, i'm not sure how it's gonna go. As isso said, keeping it all spanish seems somewhat pointless if they're not basque. So i'm not entirely sure what and how. The amount of Basque qualityriders, who are not allready riding for us, is somewhat limited. And our transferbudget is also VERY limited(1.2m and 11.000 a month, if i remember correctly)
I'll most likely have to hire some talent and train on them. And hope that the likes of Anton imrpove a lot.
It's either that or the countryrestrictions go out the window. It wont make too much of a difference anyways though since we can't really afford the big riders at the moment |

There is Arrieta, but that's not an upgrade in any way
Maybe i'll just stick to spanish riders and see what i can get formy meagre funds |

I hope you'll decide to sign only Basque riders. For the sake of realism, and also to challenge yourself.
And I am sure your budget will be a lot larger for your next season with the results you are making.B) |

A large budget doesn't help us a lot when there no big Basque GT riders to sign out there. We'll see though |

For realism sake i think mads should scout young riders from the basque area so every year more basque riders come through, but i think for funs sake he should be able to sign any spanish riders whether there basque or not. I mean if he doesnt the game could get very boring every year and mads could stop playing it. If he keeps the team spanish then its almost euskaltel but it makes it more fun
Anyway its mads decision and im sure he'll make the right choice.
Oh btw i have the game this morning

I have a Shimano - Memory Corp career, with Stefan Schumacher, Laurens Ten Dam, and I signed Greg Van Avermaet |

That's the problem. Next year i'd love to compete for the win in a GT. And the 79 mountainstat simply aint doing the job.
There is a huge difference from 79 to 80 and above. Try doing a single mountainstage and pick a rider that has 79 or 80. I chose popovych for my test.
With 79 i think i was just outside the top 10, and with 80 i was 2nd with no timeloss.
So i really want an 80+ mountains with decent timetrial next year. |

Why haven't you used training camps?
A mountain traing camp will increase your mountain stat from 79 to 82 fo 3 months.
With Samuel you could do:
April = Ardennes Classics
May = Mountain Training Camp
June = Daufine Libere
July = Tour De France |

How about a poll? Let your loyal fans decide what you can and cannot do on the transfer market? |

It's Mads' decision, but if he can't choose then i would love it to go to a poll.
All Basque?
All Spanish?
All Riders? |
