GC riders seem to win a lot in the start of the career. Either that, or I'm just bad.

I've found the low flat really starts to eat at an early GC rider, and your sta and hill will make the first season or two difficult to be competitive as they're not yet high enough, at least on the higher difficulties. Like most riders I think, break aways will be your friend. I'm interested to try a cobbled or sprinter, but after a couple of seasons there's so many top tier sprints 80+, it gets a bit over the top.
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

Try play at hard or ekstra hard. At normal and easy, you win alot, but if you play at hard, the wins will not come so often. |

I am i 3.season with a cobblestone rider. My problem is the form, and to be fresh at races.
I play at hard.
I try to keep my form at the top, but if I do that, then I am not fresh at the races.
I had no problem with that, i my first game as a GC rider(But there I play in normal).
What shall I do, train GC traning, or what?
My rider looks like this:

Don´t simulate, You can only get injuries if you simulate, if you won´t simulate you are infinite health, you can´t get ill or injured
This is not true. Just won the 2nd stage of TDU in 3D but then in the results I was withdrawn and I found out I had a patella tendon tear. I'd accept a Cambell Flakenore at TDU irl injury but give me the win!
Anyway, I'm a 21 y/o puncher, start of second season, started Novo now OGE, 67flat and Mon, 68 sprint, 74 hill and 80 acceleration. Being in TDU with stage and GC favorites Gerrans and Mathews my team pace well like a normal team for stage and race favorites.

The progression of others riders is really crazy. I begin with a climber, 19 y.o, I think my progression is quite good already FL61, MO73, HI71, SP61, ACC70 but of course TT is low and REC is still quite low.
In the mean time, there are at least 5 neo pro riders from U23 which have incredible stats at the age of 19/20 with higher stats in the climbs and 72 in TT for example, as well as 73 REC ... |

Yep the progression is fast for every rider I agree, but there are some guys who appears as pro riders with stats that can make you win a WT stage race in the first year ... my rider is getting better but I'm struggling like hell with a very low flat stats. Playing Hard mode and get 2 small victories (no more u23 races makes it hard to win something at 19yo) with a +5 daily bonus on .2 races.
These new riders can directly be competitive at a WT level |

If you think about it, this game is pretty much about riders with stats from ~70 to 85. Of course you get your "peak" stats there fast and you start with something at 70, even while young.
That's how cycling is. There's A LOT of good riders, it's those who are most complete and the best tacticians who win most. |

Just derived much enjoyment from being a good team-mate. My young sprinter was a team-mate on a spiky stage, so I made sure to fetch water at exactly the right moment before protecting my leader onto the final climb, where he managed to grab 6th. Very satisfying, even if the game doesn't seem to actually recognise good performance of a designated role.
Partially related, I wonder if the gating of events could be better implemented. Having to win a race to access HC events is fine in theory, but in practice it's resulted in teams having to leave my rider out despite being the highest-rated. This was particularly galling at Raleigh, as HC races were the only ones available after July. Races at all levels, including Grand Tours, feature some riders who've never won but are trusted domestiques - I'm not sure why the game wouldn't want to allow this. |

Eventually you will be allowed to participate without having any wins, but it takes some time to get to that point. IMO that still takes maybe a little longer than it should based on the stat progression, but at least it's something. I just want to be able to adjust stat progression again; I feel like I'm gaining too fast and want to draw it out a bit more.

Hello. I selected Argentina as my natinality. Already 2 years passed and no Argentinian Championship or World Champion show in schedule-calendar.
Is it normal? |
