Cavendish, Wiggins and Thomas came in in Cancellara's group 22 mins-is down. McEwen was the last man home a couple of minutes later.
Cav is now the Lanterne Rouge!

Great stage (although i was gunning for landaluze) but that was all made up by two things: 1 seeing the rab team really strong! 2 seeing a columbian in the top 10
Rasmussen for tommorows stage.

I knew that yesterday, and now youve said it twice today.

Soler suddenly became pale because of his attack I had him in a online toto together with Fofonov (WTF happened with him)
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

Got home at 17:30, had recorded the stage and has now spent the last couple of hours watching it. Quite disappointed, but at least the site is up today On the other hand, the result was pretty expected. I can't wait for tomorrow. |

Oh, and by the way: Rasmussen was very angry when he reached the finish line. He started off by saying that if the peloton just had reeled in the breakaway he would have the mountain jersey now (hinting to the fact that Rabobank stopped chasing, because of Menchov's weakness). Also, he wanted to attack long before he did, but wasn't allowed to. |

wow...Rasmussen bad-mouthing his team and having zero teamwork. how surprising.
(I'm over-using sarcasm lately)
seriously, he could say that to his team managers, but to the media? pfff..... |

Actually, he has updated his blog with the same critism. You can read it in English here: https://www.feltet.dk/michaelrasmussen...?extend.87 |

Tomorrow isn't Cav's last day, he's said on the rest day he'll decide. He may ride another week (unlikely, he's been having a bad tour).

isso: I don't think it will be such a big "case". He always complains, so I guess they have stopped listening to him |

yes i've noticed, he was complaining that only a few of the riders on his team were working for him and he would make sure they got their priorities straight or something similar
maybe he's a bit too arrogant because he has a few wins under his belt, like Ricco

didn't hear him say anything actually. it was an interview on eurosport with some T-Mobile DS (can't remember the name, but it was none that I knew)
who said he would retire monday so as not to burn out

remember Riis when he left CSC? saying they'll never have Mickael (or is it Michael? shouldn't it be Mikkel? I'm confused. anyway...) back because he "is incapable of working in a team or even of training accompanied"
Menchov is the designated leader, and while I don't think Menchov has much of a chance, he should respect that and negotiate with other teams if he feels he should lead. |

actually, Hammond talked about something like that a few months ago, even before Cavendish got his first win.
he said the biggest challenge Cavendish faces is curbing his arrogance without letting it affect his determination.

It's Michael (why Mikkel?!), but yes, it's true that Riis said that. Rasmussen does require a lot, and he is very self-centered. I'd say, though, that he seems a little more down to earth this year. He's much more interested in speaking with the media, and he answers politely - and yes, that's new
Other teams? They are not willing to give him a salary like the one he gets now

don't know. hadn't ever seen any danes named Michael. Mikkel I have a feeling I've seen. you have to realise that I've never been to denmark. the danes I know are the tourists and students around here (not that few, really)
anyway, I don't see any other teams wanting him, really. actually, if he wasn't at Rabobank, I wouldn't see Rabobank wanting him.
he just comes across as if he looks down on everyone. even on interviews he always seems to talk to the reporters as if they're 5 year-olds who should know everything about what they're asking.
and no, this doesn't affect my views of him as a very talented cyclist
weirdest thing: I remember reading that at the Tour 2005, after that horrible final TT, he went on the highway with his bike to slalom between cars |
