That is not the reason why we can't see reality(lets be honest, you're the one not able to see it in this situation, to me  ). It is however a reason why most Dutchies cheer for Germany here. Why cheer for our ''angstgegner''?

I'm not Dutch and even I can see that was a red card. Mind you any team who's best player is a serial diver and cheat probably thinks headbutting someone is normal. |

where are you getting the bullshit about Pepe and Muller. the was a clear red card because Pepe made contact with Muller after the referee already stopped the game that's always red.
I dislike Portugal because Ronaldo is protuguese and I dislike Ronaldo because he plays for a spanish teams and I hate the spanish teams. not because Portugal "spanked" The Netherlands so many times. (I don't even care about the Netherlands for that matter)

Most Dutchies here are very nationalistic too. Pretty sure Ruben was called a chauvinist many times before too 
But I think they would admit even if it was the Dutch playing against Germans in same situation, that was always a pen and a red.. Or I hope so

well duh, i even said before the ec 2012 we'd suck, and we did. And germany, denmark and portugal all fully deserved to win there. As they were about 20 times better.
I'm not as chauvinistic as 10 years ago you know.. i like them doing well, just not expect it as soon anymore. And it's far less difficult to admit others are superior.

What do you mean?
I only said that most Dutchies prefer Germany because of the fact that Portugal basically is our rival at tournaments.
That doesn't mean that we're blinded at all, and not by nationalism at all either, given that Germany would actually more likely be hated for the sake of nationalism than Portugal.
And yes, it was a red card.

Though in my expercience Portuguese are normally friendly people (my sister has a Portuguese boyfriend). I can't really say I like the Portuguese football team, for the sole reason they beat the Netherlands so many times.
I have to admit that Ronaldo is best player of the world last season though. |
