I think my dad has a thing for swedish ladys, then again who doesn`t? Anyway, he rarely rooted so much for a sportswoman as when he crossed his fingers for Johansson today. Amazing race from Vos, Italians messed up their team tactics a bit it seems to me.

It always suprises me how many brother/sister (Or father/daughter) couples there are in cycling. I mean look at just the italians: longo borghini, ratto, etc.
to me it seems the italians did eveything they could do get rid of vos. Attack with all 3 all the time, only problem was, they are never strong enough, Vos reacted easily to them, and Van der Breggen was super strong in closing most of these attacks.
Maybe you can say they did the wrong thing by attacking on the climb though, because you're never going to drop Vos there. They should've done it on the flat, but then there's Van der Breggen...
To put it simply, it was not possible today
Guys this is not meant in bad taste but Vos is like a bloke compared to these other girls. No doubt about it she is pro their ametuer she is way too dominant no 1 has a chance to really say their better even when she loses she is best. Look at London done most work and still won.

Well, it's not like the race ended on a climb or was a pure mountain stage where more or less the best rider wins. As you said, Italians could have tried different approaches to break Vos and Van der Breggen. True, both were incredible strong today but then again, Itlians were 3 vs 2 and at some point, they could have potentially cause a big enough gap for one of their riders. This is of course solely theory and looking at Vos performance, it's easy to be satisfied with silver or bronze. It's obvious that Vos truly deserved her WC-title and was clearly the strongest and the smartest in the race, just wished that the Italians would have played their cards a bit better. When I saw that one of the italian riders went to the team car for tactical advice I knew that they didn't really had a Plan B, or even a Plan A.

Does anyone know the temperature that is going to be raced at??? I think the warm weather may suit the spanish guys an if it gets too hot Sagan might struggle

It's very logical.
We could debate on what talent is, but one viewpoint would be that it's mostly genetics (+ being tactically sound). At least genetics tell most of the story about trainability, that is how much an individual will benefit from a given amount of training. That's why for a given level among amateurs, the brother or son of whatever good rider will be the logical pick for a pro team, above the nobody.
There is nobody else I'd rather see the WC jersey on than Sagan. For some reason he's one of the only cyclists I believe to be clean (despite his obvious impressive riding), and nobody who deserves it more (always ready to race).
Much, much rather him than I-could've-beaten-Wiggins-if-I-had-communication-whining-Luigi.
would anyone know of a english radio station streaming online that i can listen to the WC now... I can find live streams but just want to listen to it atm... Any help?
Ah, my favorite one-day race.
It's always a special occasion, this one
