I'm eagerly awaiting this decision.

Wonder what they'll say. When do they decide? This afternoon, or...?
Lunch time. Any opportunity for a good lunch should be exploited. |

My guess is that they'll strip him of his titles. They'd disappoint me if they didn't. But that wouldn't be the first time |

They'll probably do that but deny any knowledge of his cheating, and deny they could have known, and strongly deny (and threaten to sue) that they're corrupt.
Something along those lines.
edit : apparently he's stripped of everything, and UCI don't appeal anything.
I bet that's all they found to save their sorry asses for some more time, but eh, that's the best we could expect.

As I expected. The Lance admittance countdown clock is still going full bore. |

Indurain is again the only rider with 5 consecutive wins! What shitty, shitty day for cycling. I don't see the sport recovering from this for several years.

I hope so. Plus Jan won't be at 5 victories anyway, 4 at most.

With their rules they have to? Otherwise they have to change it first otherwise they show their own rules are good for nothing.
Also wondered about what McQuaid said about "If we would have the tests before, he couldn't do that" Yes on the EPO side maybe, but about blood doping which was much worse and after 2000 more used?

I see it as the brightest day of cycling, when biggest cheat in history of the sport is stripped of his titles. But i agree recovery will be painful, but it has to be like that.

So... is this the end?

Finally!
Very happy that he's down at last. Obviously not great for the sport, but I can't help feeling a bit satisfied. Especially that they strip the titles as well.

Well, the only notable wins he gets to keep are:
1993 Worlds
1993 U.S. national champs
1995 Clasica San Sebastian
1996 Fleche Wallonne

Not yet decided if those years will be kept blank or there will be a new "winner".
