By Giro standards. It has a hard patch of nearly 3 kms near the finish, but the rest of it isn't really a mountain.

why not keep Krue there, and set Seeldrayers back?

They're not starting from the bottom? Interesting. Never seen that done before. Basically they skip the easy parts and go straight to the pain.

The question now is: Did Liquigas slow down because without Szmyd they're missing one guy, or because Basso isn't feeling so good?

The pace in the main field must've been quite low during the last few minutes.
