Golden State is horrible w/o Curry on offense compared to when he is on the floor, he has some of the best court vision, some of the best handles and possible the quickest release combined with a career 44% from 3. I dont wanna dig too much into the numbers, but its insane how much better they are when he is on the floor. The mere thread of him opens so much for the rest. The match against Indy without him pretty much sums it up
Curry clear cut for me right now. Its also worth mentioning that he doesnt even play much in the 4th quarter anyways since they blow many opponents out, only about 32 minutes a game.
Edit: And his defense ia actually good. He completely shut down Parker against Spurs, stole the ball multiple times, deflecting and held him to 0 fgs. Quite impressive so much he has improved there imo.

Oh yeah, Lebron for MVP. I mean, he is still thee best player to play the game, but of course he cant win it every time.
On Westbrook topic, yeah he is great, but i still see at least those four players listed and maybe more to be better MVP candidates, especially when he missed so many matches and his team is 8th or whatever in conference...

Russell gave us a performance last night that farther proves his MVP caliber!

This year it`s time for Stephen Curry imo.
He is just an awesome player regularly throwing 25+ and 8+ assists on (most important) high % and this season also less turnovers.
Surely Westbrook and Harden would also deserve it. But I feel they are a bit behind him and position in the end might be key.
LBJ is not bad neither and very close. But he is not as strong as the last seasons, which is surely also due to a new team etc. |

Are you trolling or serious, or just OKC fanboy mate? 8th seeded team can hardly produce an MVP, so despite Russel being really good this year, there is NO way he can win it. I see at least 4 better ones, including Curry, Harden, Davis, James and other bunch of close ones to Westbrook if seed is no important for you, like Griffin, Teague, Cousins and few others.
He is shooting 43%FG and 29% from deep, that is just lame. He is even happy to be in top100 in field goals, player like this is just selfish for me, not a player that pushes his team highest he can.

Westbrook isnt the MVP right now, but he for sure isnt out of the top-4. As I said before, they guy has better numbers than Rose in his MVP-season, coupled with a lot more rebounds. If KD wasnt struggling with his health your point MIGHT be legit about him being too selfish/shooting too much, but right now, its just Westbrook and some decent roleplayers around him. And he is playing out of his mind, posting double/doubles and just recently a triple double.
You should also take into account how much he gets to the line. That makes up for the mediocre shooting and he isnt and will never be a 3 point shooter. I dont know what you really mean by Griffin, Teague etc., but its blasphemous to think those guys should be ranker higher than Westbrook. |

Well according to a poll on NBA.com Westbrook is more of an MVP than James Harden, makes 0 sense to me since Harden has better FG percentage, three point percentage (which is impressive because the Rockets revolve around threes), FT percentage (Harden goes to the line ALOT more than anyone else in the league), and he has a higher PPG, he has less assists but he is a shooting guard so what do you expect. There are some categories Westbrook is stronger in but overall (opinion) I think Harden is better |

This is probably due to the fact that a lot of people seem to dislike Harden, while Westbrook is not hated by many.
Plus Westbrook plays more spectacular with more highlight dunks etc.
And most important eventually that Harden was always a horrible defender. This season he is actually defending quite well. But people, that don`t follow all games still remember him as bad defender and don`t know any better. |

I think Harden is unlikeable just because of him driving to the basket and getting fouled, maybe people find it a cheap way of scoring I don't know since I'm a Rockets fan and is one of my favourite players |

Lebron is the real MVP, still best player in the league by far and whole Cleveland team starts rolling, it would not surprise me to see them doing a great playoff run, with their experienced lineup and Big Three...

He's the best player, just not this season. He's been out of form at the beginning with Cavs probably because they lacked chemistry. Just recently LeBron started to play on his level. Season-high 42 vs GSW just shows that. Not sure K-Love is a good fit for them but Kyrie-LeBron combo is deadly and enough to win the title for sure.
GSW won't win the title. |

Three losses out of six games for Golden State, two of those teams were fairly weak opposition so not sure what's going on |
