Indeed, the Zoncolan will make sure of that

That's hard to say. Without the Monte Crostis, the technical route description isn't reliable.
With Crostis, they would have been at Zoncolan between 16:50 (fastest) and 17:30 (slowest). Without, I have no idea.

That would have been impressive taken in consideration that Tourmalet is in the Pyrenees |

I hope all riders of the teams that have complained have no less than 5 punctures while climbing Zoncolan. Is the least they deserve. |

If Contador wins the Giro but then "loses" it in June, will that affect any bonus seconds? I don't recall it happening in the 2006 Tour, but I may be wrong or it could be different now. |

It surprises me that Saxo Bank is not doing more to control the breakaway, thought that if there is one specific stage Contador wants to win in the Giro, it is this stage.

50 kms and still 9'30" is it still possible that someone from the pack wins?
EDIT: Kumazan just answered.

Apparently they aren't climbing Tualis either due to a demonstration. The tifosi are angry. |

How could they shorten a race during a race?? Thinking of teamtactics etc...
What was the reason? |

Only 5-10 km 'till Zoncolan then? Break might make it now, 20 km left shouldn't be enough to make up 6:30min, no?
