Recap:
Slow racing until 50km left, then Katusha was riding hard and kept the pace until the top of the climb at the end. Pozzato and Gilbert tried to get away in the downhill, but got caught. Then Cervelo took charge, but was unable to keep the speed to high. The attacks where many, but none succeded. Then Hushovd took the sprint after Omega had a lead-out for Gilbert.
I was joking - I'd found out what happened. Thanks anyway
Sure, but after my unessesercy spaming of this thread. I felt it was my responsebility anyways

It was very strong of him today. Even if he`s a classic, you have to come over the mountain/hill. Then he had still enough power to beat Bennati, Pozzato, Davis etc.
I agree that he won`t win many stages against Farrar, Cavendish, Petacchi but isn`t it just stronger if you don`t fall back after smaller mountains?

You have no insight whatsoever in the Norwegian people.
Norwegians are proud of their country and sportsmen all year - just look at May 17. and the Holmenkollen ski festival.
The main reason for the Norwegian nationalism is that we have been ruled by Denmark and Sweden for over 500 years - and have only been an independent country for 105 years.
Norwegians are proud to be proud of their sportsmen - whatever the sport, whatever the time of the year. |

Then why are some norwegians embarassed by other norwegians being way to over-dramatic in this thread?

Norwegians, norwegians... Why are you most cocky and annoying from all scandinavians,... oh, from all europeans? Maybe only balcans could be as annoying.
Dude not cool. That would be the same as me saying:
Spanish riders, Spanish riders... Why are you the most cheating and doped riders from all of europe?
You can hate me, but don't be that ignorent
I actually agree with him... Norwegians can be the most annoying people on earth when it comes to fanboyism in sports. Especially cross country skiing. |

All of this discussion is useless because the only country who's citizens should feel any sort of pride is the USA...
Although after this win, I am sure Hushovd could win the TDF next year...
