I did my first TT of the year today. I came 2nd out of 17 riders but more importantly found that my fitness is about where I want it to be

I did my first race of the year and I was simply hoping to come out of it in one piece. I did both the Juniors and Elite 4's events at a local beginning of the season crit. With 4 laps to go the 3 riders immediately in front of me crashed and I jammed on the breaks and landed in the median, which had some very soft grass in it. I got back into the road but by that time the pack was long gone SO I went back to the pits to see if I could get a free-lap(which they give in case of crashes or mechanical) but free laps end at 5 to go.
I did my Elite category event which was far easier than the juniors race. I finished mid pack.
Garmin pussed out when they heard there might be rain so Cal Berry Giant were the big favs. they put a guy in the break which settled into a duo all race break. Bissel had 2 guys, Alex Moos was there, Roman Kilun of OUCH a Glud and Martrands guy and a kelly benefits guy were the other professionals the break barely stayed away with the Cal Berry Giant guy taking the win, and my teamate taking 10th. Very fun day.

I didn't get any good pictures of the racing so I will leave that to the professional photogs. Below is a picture of my buddy Tim's Pinarello Prince. Those are my teamates legs. Tim has massive calves.

Woo. Won my first race today (the first race i've done this year as well). I broke away by myself for a long time in the middle of the race, but got brought back- then won the sprint by about 5 bike lengths. Im happy |

I went XC Mtbing today for Specialized at the Test the best series, great fun. Met up with the head guys in GB and had a good chat. Some very nice things planned for the future which i cant tell you about I was pretty nervous going out on the legendary Follow the Dog course are Cannok Chase but i really enjoyed it, it was dogey in some sections like when you have a 3 feet apart trees, i literally bounced off them in the forest It was great fun, really recommended. Going back in 2 weeks time with Specialized again. Going to do a turbo now, im really training myself hard |

Does anyone know anything about the Garmin map updates? Do I have to buy memory card or DVD version for be able to update the map? Or do both work? |
