BMC officially confirms Burghardt
Remember, today is the first day when teams and riders can admit to transfers, so a lot more should transpire today
EDIT: More transfers that have been known for a long long time have now been officially confirmed. Petacchi to Lampre, Hunter+Kessiakoff+Van Summeren to Garmin
And Zirbel to Garmin. That one's new as far as I've known.

hmmm, i'm doubtful about Wiggins to sky. Didn't he say he extended with Garmin?
I'm not buying it until (if) I hear it from the horse's mouth.
Predictably it turned out to be crap.
Wiggins isn't moving, just as he said a month and a half ago.

No one had said anything, but on the domestic road circuit it was fully expected that Zirbel would jump to Garmin or another major American team (Columbia or BMC).
@isso -> would I be correct in assuming that today and your birthday are your two favorite days of the year?

Seems to be a lot jumping from the Columbia team. Kind of surprising given the level of success they've had.
Would be a huge surprise, but I wonder if they're clearing the decks for a very, very big Spanish signing? |

My favorite day of the year is the first mountain stage of the Giro.

Most of the riders are leaving Astana. What's gonna happen to them?
Garmin with excellent transfers. Let's see what Kessiakoff is able to do there. |

Not surprising, I've heard every Swiss rider besides Cance being linked to them. At least some of the rumors had to be true.

Zahner was linked to Cervelo but finally it's BMC, I hope for him that BMC will be able to participate on stageraces with a good level. |

After much thinking for many months of contemplating retirement, Pereiro has re-signed for another year.
Oscar Gatto also renewed with ISD
EDIT: And Grega Bole to Lampre

As i said to Isso on MSN, this team baffles me. They get their budget doubled, and now they're really going for the top riders right away, and suceeding.

What concerns me is the lack of rumours that seem to be true concerning any big names to Sky. Great, hire lots of domestiques and good team mates/workers, but I want to know who are the big names! |

BMC isn't a some new team with a big sponsor who just got interested in cycling, they are an established team, and although they have never had the money to sign these types of riders, they have always had a solid infrastructure and good leadership. Thats the reason I think they are able to sign such big name riders in only there first year with a big budget. |
