I see absolutely no proof of that. he'll be 32 next year. in his prime, I'd say. this last was certainly his best season.

Barloworld transfers
Baden Cooke for 2008 we all know about this aussie sprint king, former Green jersey winner @ le Tour
Darryl Impey, SOuth african, really brilliant sprinter, almost as fast as Robbie Hunter! coughs at database editors! make his sprint stats better, he dominated this last season! at only 22 a star for the future
Ben Swift, a favorite amoungst u british forum peeps
Moisès Dueñas Nevado joins from the Agritubel team and showed his ability by winning a stage and the overall classification of the Regio Tour in Germany after winning the Tour de L'Avenir in 2006. He finished the Tour de France in 39th place this year and is an excellent climber. He was born in Salamanca on May 10, 1981 and has been a professional since 2004.
30 year-old Patrick Calcagni comes from the Italian part of Switzerland and is an excellent rouleur after being Swiss time trial champion in 2001. He will be a huge help in the lead out train that works for South African sprinter Robbie Hunter. This year he rode for the Liquigas team.
Francesco Bellotti is 28 and comes from Bussolengo near Verona. He has been a professional for five years (2004 with Team Barloworld). He has yet to win a race but has several impressive placings, including second overall in the 2006 Tour de Langkawi stage race in Malaysia. He is an excellent team rider and joins Team Barloworld from the French Credit Agricole squad.
Christopher Froome was born in Nairobi (Kenya) on May 20 1985 but currently lives in South Africa. This year Froome won a stage in the Giro delle Regioni, a prestigious stage race in Italy, and a stage at the Tour of Japan. He also won a silver medal at the 'B' world championships in the time trial held in New Zealand. He is an eclectic rider who has also done well in mountain biking.

I still remember Froome at the worlds TT under-23 in 2006.
flies off the start ramp.....straight ahead, missing the turn and plowing into a guy who's standing outside the track

Alberto Contador may not be joining Team Astana after all. Manager Tony Rominger has said that signing with the Kazakh team "might damage his image."
