Slow stage is slow, it been really mad this morning. Nothing but breaks attacks. Fast pace. All slowing down coming up to the Tourmalet. |

I stand by my pre-Tour predictions: Valverde will be good, and will fail in the Alps.

I have to agree isso, even though i dont want to
I get the feeling Soler would be flying today. Remy Di Gregorio is off though! |

To anyone interested, Julich is commenting on cyclingnews
(about Riccò)
Bobby Julich: We will see how he does now that everyone is watching him. It really reminds me of how we saw Pantani back in 1998 until he dropped us on the Galibier and went on to win the Tour.
Now that he is dangerous and the favourites will react, we will see if he is as strong as he looked yesterday. But I don't think that he can win the Tour!

I have to say yesterdays attack must have taken lots of energy. It will be very hard to repeat such good strength again. Either hes just super human or... |

Smoothie said Soler would be flying, as in "he would if he was here"
Lovkvist was dropped, it seemed to me. So he's a worse climber than Flecha and Vogondy. pathetic.

I still think CSC will attack today. probably Andy. Cancellara's in the break to pull him down the Tourmalet and all the way to the Hautacam.
Sánchez drops like a stone. Vogondy Tankink, etc. climb better than Lovkvist. pathetic.

screw De La Fuente. his attitude is worse than Riccò's. I loved seeing him suffer.

Indeed Addy we was talking about his face mode's yesterday. This is what I was talking about..holding polka and difficulty to go with peloton..There is only one progession way..down. Because Soler is out (I will like to see him today)..there is open polka shirt available. |

Di Gregerio is looking pretty good, but It will be very interesting to see how CSC play their cards. Kirchen is pretty far back and may be in trouble already.

OK, I'm calling the bluff: Menchov in yellow today.
quite bold and a bit stupid, I know
but ahead of him are "back of the pack" Kirchen, hurt Evans, Vande Velde and Schumacher.

my bad lövkvist didnt really put in that much effort in the columbia train either. he took rather short relays compared to the others so its disapointing that he drops so early today aswell |

Way out there: Vandevelde in yellow
I think Menchov has a good chance though. For some reason I see CSC's plan failing on the Hautacam.

I have never had the pleasure of witnessing his attitude so I can't comment, and will take your word on it
But I don't care to be honest I just love his style when going up the mountains, and now he is dropped I won't get to see it
Plus I tipped him for polka-dots before the Tour and now he is dropped, I am going to be wrong

Samuel Sánchez goes bye-bye
this isn't the Vuelta sammy, you can't depend on everyone being off-form to get a podium...
