4th for Chavanel is good, but it should have been better, missing out on the two moves on the last two days. Also best of the French
Great ride by Rodriguez to take the win.
MSR GODDAMNIT!!!!!!
Yes, but that's monuments <-> stage-races wise. Boonen is the ultimate favourite in cobbled races(along with Spartacus), and these simply don't give enough points. But I've been lucky at the early-March stage-races, so it's fine for now

Hello I will guide you through todays Milano - San Remo. It's the first WT classic on the calendar. The elite of ProCycling is here! The question is if the sprinters can keep up with the puncheurs on the Cipressa and the Poggio. If so Cavendish and Greipel can be considered as favourites!
Just after passing KM 0 Danail Petrov (HAI) is the first to attack only followed by Pablo Urtasun (BAR)!
They soon get a decent gap of almost 1 and a half minute. Then it's Lavery (TUG) attacking he is quickly followed by Hivert (CCC), Holohan (CAT), Pye (CSC) and most prominentely Jelle Vanendert (ITV).
The favourites don't seem happy with that as Durbridge (SGM), Thompson (LPU) and Schleck (ING) reel them in just a moment later. But 2 km later it's again Lavery who tries to get away this time followed by the same guys than before only Caterham's Opie replaces Holohan!
5 kilometres later it's Albasini (MCS) attacking
All the eight riders are clear with a margin of 50 seconds over the pack!
The pace in the peloton is very high, ING even sends their two Puncheurs Voeckler and Schleck to the front! Albasini doesn't see the break successful so he attacks Vanendert, Petrov and Urtasun follow!
That try first seems successful but then it's Jonathan Hivert whoo brings the break back together!
Again there are many attacks but in the end only Vanendert and Urtasun aren't swallowed by the pack.
They gain a lot of time very quick. But then there are more attacks.
Urtasun, Vanendert --- '25 -> Nordhaug (HAI), Blythe (CAT), Bobridge (TUG) --- '17 -> Albasini --- '14 -> Hivert --- '12 -> Pye --- '18 -> Peloton
In the pack Voeckler and Schleck are still doing the pace, Boonen must feel great as his alternative captains are powering themselves out!
Then it gets even worse as Lierse stops to help them with the pace and Rosseler (LPU) tries to bridge the gap to the break!
Then also ING accepts the break how it is and the eight riders in front quickly gain time.
On the passo del Turchino they already have a gap of 7'51 to the peloton ...
... lead by Voeckler
The top sprinters Greipel and Cavendish pass the Turchino in the front part of the peloton, they seem to have no problem! Will it be a battle between the two of them for the win?
Just before Le Manie the gap is still 5'27
ING puts hard pressure on the sprinters as they lead the peloton with high speed over le Manie.
Over photographer spots Cavendish just before the end of the peloton, also Greipel, Goss, Degenkolb, Freire and Hushovd seem to have problems with the pace!
With 70 km to go the gap between the break and the peloton is still 3'56
With 50 it has decreased to 2'46, Boonen will have to perform good as Voeckler and Schleck are still sacrificing themselves for him!
44 kilometres to go Samuel Love tries an early attack he is followed by Ladagnous (MCS).
Later also Pozzato follows
He is the only one who stays clear from the pack and gains half a minute but still is 1'33 behind the morning break.
Pozzato reduces the gap to the break to 0'38 and already passes Pye who
has fallen back.
As a side note the first Sanmarinese participant of Milano-San Remo is already fallen back and is now in the 6th group more than 4 minutes behind to the front of the race
Back in front Albasini, who has now reached the front attacks but he gets passed by Vanendert, Nordhaug and Urtasun only those three are able to get a gap!
Suddenly the peloton is slowing down to 30 km/h so the front group now is more than 2 minutes in front with only 29 km to go if the peloton doesn't pick up pace fast it will be a win of the break!
Frank Schleck increases the pace again.
We already reached the Cipressa on the foot of it Vanendert and Nordhaug
already have shaken Urtasun off.
E1 --- '15 -> Urtasun --- '14 -> E3 --- 1'19 -> P
Voeckler closes the gap to Blythe, Hivert, Urtasun and Bobridge in the meantime Albasini has bridged the gap to E1, they are still 1'19 in front.
With 16 km to go, the break is still 1'04 in front, it's Cancellara attacking.
He bridges the gap within 1,5 km and now even has a teammate to help him '42 in front!
Nordhaug and Vanendert are attacking, later followed by Spartacus, an empty Albasini stays behind
20 seconds Gilbert leads the chase
Cancellara shakes off his mates.
At the back there was a crash, involved are Lloyd Mondory (TUG) and J.J. Haedo, who now has to say Goodbye to his intentions of a TOP 10.
Cancellaras attack doesn't help at all because Voigt brings everything back together with 11 km to go.
With 9 km to go the Poggio starts the pack is already reduced to 76 riders.
There were no attacks and on top of the Poggio the field is back to 148 riders.
The preparations for the sprint started. All the sprinters are perfectly positioned.
Durbridge (SGM) -> Greipel (SGM) -> Sagan (IOQ) -> Cavendish (TLI) -> Roelandts (LPU) -> Boonen (ING) -> Boasson Hagen (HAI) -> Goss (PBG) -> Benatti (CAT) -> Bozic (IOQ)
also Gadret (ING on the side)
With 1100 metres to go Greipel opens his sprint
Sagan and Cavendish follow, also Boonen is coming very fast.
Greipel still in front but Sagan is coming, also Cavendish has to fear for his podium spot as Boonen is nearing very fast!
But Greipel takes it, Sagan second and Cavendish can just hold off Boonen, who had for sure, surprisingly, the best sprint but was positioned the worst!
Rosseler just gets 5th in front of Boasson Hagen, 7th is last years winner Goss, 8 and 9 go to Caterham and Bozic completes the Top 10 and a successful MSR for In n Out!

All that work for almost nothing. Boonen just missed out of a Top 3. Team worked great, though!

Well finished by Greipel to win. And for a first race Mark did well to get a Podium.
Loving TAP as well, the definition of a team.
Also Farrar doing what Farrar does... bullcrap
Full Rankings Updates for both WT and CT coming very soon.

Rankings Update
Here are the post MSR rankings
ING | 32043.5 | In-n-Out | 23625.5 | SGL | 21882 | Allianz | 19552 | Lierse | 17660 | Caterham | 16862.5 | Tulip | 16711 | Motorex | 15840.5 | Fastweb | 12692.5 | ITV | 12077.5 | Lunar | 12059.5 | Globant | 11825.5 | Pure Black | 10429 | CC Café | 8192.5 | Haier | 7480 | Barrys | 2687 |
ING have taken over the top of the rankings off a string of large points hauls in Tirreno and Paris-Nice. They are also the team with the best Pts/Day of 821.6.
In-n-Out have put the early struggle behind them and Sagan has jumped them up into 2nd place, but still around 9000pts behind the leaders. Their Pts/Day is 4th best at 694.9.
SGL are still running high. Klodens 2nd in Paris-Nice has kept them right up near the top not far behind IOQ. But their high number of race days means their Pts/Day is 6th at 561.1
Allianz were tipped for great things, and sit 4th after Purito's win in Paris-Nice. Points from across the team have also helped a lot. Their Pts/Day is 7th at 528.4
Lierse have slipped since a bit to 5th with underwhelming rides in Italy and France. But they do keep grabbing points. Interestingly their Pts/Day is 2nd at 767.8
Caterham are 6th with some consistency and several breaks. Pinot brought in a lot while Wiggo missed out. Currently the most raced WT teams their Pts/Day has suffered, being only 9th at 421.6
Tulip are 7th mostly off of Froomes win in Tirreno. Not a massive amount of success outside of that has held them back for now. But their Pts/Day is 3rd at 726.6
Motorex are 8th. The classics based team are biding their time while Albasini keeps popping up with some points. Again their Pts/Day is good at 660 for 5h
Fastweb missed out on home glory and lie in 9th place. Decent Top10's and some nice CT results help them out. Their Pts/Day is not amazing though, only in 10th with 373.3
ITV and their many breaks slide in at 10th. Not real outstanding result, but a few good GC's and stage's combined with some CT success is not bad. The Pts/Day is not good only in 12th with 326.4
Lunar have moved up a lot to 11th. Chavanel's consistency in Paris-Nice being the main reason, and Cav's podium in MSR helping. Their Pts/Day is also looking fine at 524.3 for 8th
Globant pulled out a great Tirreno, which puts them into 12th. Outside of that however and things havn't been good. Pts/Day is average at 369.5 for 11th
Pure Black have just been going backwards since the TDU. They are now 13th and in the danger zone. Pts/Day doesn't look good either at 306.7 for 13th
CC Cafe are also struggling now the season is gathering pace, down in 14th. No need to panic yet, but changes might need to be made to get points soon. Pts/Day is also bad at 303.4 for 14th
Haier are in the doldrums of 15th, but not bottom. No real results of any kind and they are in clear trouble. Pts/Day is only 220 for 15th.
Barrys therefore are bottom in 16th place. I would hit the panic button very soon, as they are finding themselves becoming ever more adrift. Pts/Day is worrying at only 116.8 for 16th.
So ING hold a nice lead. IOQ and SGL are over the 20,000 mark behind. ABC and LPU are behind them. CAT, TUG and MCS have a nice battle going for 7th. FWB, ITV and TLI are all close together, just above the danger zone. GTC are just behind them, as are PGR. CCC, HAI and BAR are falling behind at the bottom.
There are 29356.6 pts between 1st and 16th.
20218 pts between 1st and 11th.
9138.5 between 16th and 11th.
And only 234 between 11th and safety.

Just a quick question. MSR 18+19+20place worth equal in points as MSR win? Just weird. This way in sprint classic races the lead-ou train for a sprinter can gain just as or much then other teams main sprinter
As example:
13 Óscar Freire TAP - Michelin s.t.
14 Samuel Love TAP - Michelin s.t.
15 Steve Chainel TAP - Michelin s.t.
16 Tom Veelers TAP - Michelin s.t.
Worth 4000 pts, and Greipel 1st just 3000 points.
Sorry for asking again, just weird.
I doesnt want to be a troublemaker, juast asking....

@Jaix
Yes, but normally that doesn't happen. Also TAM only get half points (2000). And the system was designed to reward teams, not riders.
@Jesl
11th is safe. Bottom 5 (16th, 15th, 14th, 13th, 12th) can all go down at the end of the season.
Also i now need E3, Gent Wevelgem, Ronde and Roubaix Startlists
They will begin after the Crit. Int. has finished

5th is still safe, but I think that Paris-Nice ended my chances of winning this season
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
