The first break of the day contains the following five riders, Cooke/Team Exergy, Tanguy/UK Youth, Stemper/Kenda 5 Hour Energy, Perichon/La Pomme Marseille and Antogna/Jamis Sutter Home and they have a lead of 2m 20s

The lead has gone out to 4m 42s and the group has swelled by one rider Pringsten/Cyclingteam De Rijke

Leopard Trek Continental have sent a couple of there riders to the front of the peleton to try and reduce the gap

There is not as much co-operation in the group as before as no one wants to take the lead and whilst they look at each other the gap begins to fall

Rapha Condor Sharp and An Post Sean Kelly are doing the chasing on the front of the peleton and can see the leaders just ahead of them

Pringsten/Cyclingteam De Rijke is the only one left from todays break and he only has a few seconds advantage

There is a lot of pushing and elbowing going on as the sprint trains try and force there way to the front in readiness for the finish

And it leaves one of the Team UK Wales riders on the floor

Ed Clancy/Rapha Condor Sharp steals a march on the rest and opens up a small gap

But its his team mate Dean Downing who hits the line first and claims the victory

A quiet day for the team today but hopefully things will improve on tomorrow's stage

Five riders have a lead of nearly six minutes over the peleton, they are Thire/Auber 93, Boelen/Cyclingteam De Rijke, Damiani/Kenda 5 Hour Energy, Peruffo/Miche Guerciotti and Beneke/MTN Qhubeka

Breen/Joker Merida has joined up with the lead group

Worried about his yellow jersey advantage Dean Downing sends the whole of his Rapha Condor team to the front to do some chasing

The lead has now dropped below one and a half minutes

Damiani/Kenda 5 Hour Energy has gone through the twenty kilometre to go marker with a slight advantage on his fellow escapees

With the breakaways all safely back into the pack An Post Sean Kelly come to the front to set the pace

Its the quiet before the storm as nobody is really taking control of the run in to the finish in Annan

Nico Eeckhout/An Post Sean Kelly launches himself in to his final sprint

And he times it superbly to hold off Julian Kern of Leopard Trek Continental at the line

Well another day of hope has ended with nothing, so i am a bit down hearted with the stage today despite getting two riders in the top ten.
