This is Valverdes first win I think I've missed all year
He did win right? I'm only going by the comments in here, and cant find any highlights.

Contador will be happy too. After all, he already said that the Tour is won in the hotel. I guess the same applies to the Vuelta.

Still funny to see that you talk about Contadope, while you seem to be a fan of 1 of the few cyclists that didnt show any kind of regret after he doped (okay, even I love his way of riding...).
Anyway, great stage, and I still set my money on COntador to win this Vuelta. Have the feeling that hi form will improve....

Exactly
Going from cyclingnews or PCMfocus (new pcmbenelux) to this thread is a 180 degree turnaround. There everyone, like me, loves the return of contador and the return of tempo-change racing up a climb.
But here... Oh well. Vamos Alberto Just to annoy people here even more |

I hate Clentie as a person, I admire him as a cyclist though.

Most people love his attacking style
but at the same time, he is arrogant, a convicted doper and there was chaingate
thats why there is hate for him here
but compare it the the hate for sky and Contador is jesus christ

You know I think we have a very cynical forum here overall haha... cause I can't think of many cyclists who are widely admired around here, except maybe the likes of Sagan? Oh and how could I forget Riccò |

That's really not a reason to hate him if you ask me. That whole situation turned out way bigger than it would've had to be. Mainly because of Schleck's fury over it.
I haven't got anything against Contador either on or off the bike. He seems like a nice guy to me, plus he's exciting to watch. Apart from the clenbuterol scandal, there's nothing bad with him in my opinion.

The best thing that happened to cycling since the existence of Danny Pate, is the return of Contador. The guy attacks, attacks again, attacks once more, and (since his return) cracks. I rather see that, than wheelsucking and sprinting past someone in the last 100m.
Oh, and shoot me, but I still believe in his innocence!

What about Cancellara, De Gendt, Hoogerland, VDB, Gesink, Voigt, Nibali and Mollema?
Most people like them, right?
