We had GC contenders attack with 60km to go, it's not been bad.
Yeah, Rujano attacked to avoid being dropped in the descent, and Cunego followed him and suddenly was alone and didn't know what to do, so waited for the peloton, which is by the way bigger than in MSR with 100 km to go.
Awesome.
You bored little man

When the contenders get to 11km to go we might see something
I hope so. Basso should try something after all the work Liquigas have done.
And Rujano will probably continue attacking.
That's not how Basso works though. He will never attack, just ride people off his wheel. And this isn't the sort of climb he can do that.
We still have bits of 12% to go
Not long enough to really put guys like Scarponi in trouble, who is also a fairly grindy sort of climber. Basso needs something like the Zoncolan where it is close to 10% most of the way up.

Scarponi seems weak. RodrÃguez already has the lead. This climb doesn't suit Basso. And Rujano has a teammate up the road, so.....
Go Kreuziger!

Maybe not Scarponi but he might create a select groupe of about 5 or 6 riders and drop people like Hesjedal or Schleck |

I love slow burn stages, they're my favorite, but only when people get dropped all the time one by one. This is just nothing happening. It's the Tour de Italie.

Breakaway losing almost a minute per kilometer now. Maybe there will be some exitement after all?
