Stage 13 : Porto Recanati - Cesenatico
We´re going to leave the second Giro weak!Today is another flat stage but there are some hard climbs many kilometres before the stage finish so it´s not easy for our sprinters
Cavendish lost all his energy on the last climb so he was not able to sprint today
But we could still build a train with Martin,Pinotti and Eisel, who was our sprint-captain today
When the sprint began Eisel was far behind Ginanni who was leading the sprint
After his second place yesterday he takes the stage win today!Ginanni wins in front of Grillo and Carrara.Eisel becomes 5th in the end
Stage results

Well, I hope so but Wiggins, Contador and Armstrong are just a few seconds behind so it won´t be easy |

Matteo Carrara and Franco Pellizotti will be dangerous in the sprint competition I think.

Stage 7 : Solvang ITT
Today is maybe the most important stage in California.I´m sure that this time trial about 24 kilometres will decide the overall classification.Rogers should be able to beat Barredo by at least 7 seconds but behind Rogers are Wiggins,Leipheimer,Armstrong and Alberto Contador and they really want to shine today, that´s for sure!
Grabsch was the first, setting a great time.He only required 34 minutes and 31 seconds
Just a few moments later came Cadel Evans with an amazing ride!He showed his time trial strength today, beating Grabsch by 39 seconds!
Next one was the winner of this tour 2009,Levi Leipheimer. At the first check point he had the same time like Evans and at the second one he was even 1 second faster!Maybe he was too fast in the beginning? No he wasn´t, he beat Evans by 2 seconds!33 minutes and 48 seconds is the new best time for the moment
His American team-mate Lance Armstrong also did a great job today but he couldn´t keep it up with Levi and Cadel but still a good result, finishing as 5th,25 seconds behind Leipheimer
Another great time trialist with Alberto Contador was already on the road while Leipheimer set this fantastic time.He was the big favorite for today´s stage win but at the first intermediate check point he was 2 seconds behind Leipheimer! It was exciting to watch this ´cause on the second check point he was only 1 second behind Levi! The last metres by the Spanish Tour de France Champion were amazing and in the end he even had the same time like Leipheimer but the American was still leading!
Bradley Wiggins was one of the biggest contenders for the leader´s jersey while he was only 6 seconds behind Rogers in the overall. His time was good but not good enough for Leipheimer,Contador and Evans. He was 15 seconds behind Levi and Alberto. That means that he wouldn´t take the leader´s jersey because Contador was a few seconds faster
There were only two riders left with Rogers and Barredo but Rogers was the first one setting his time.Well,he couldn´t win this stage but with a good performance he finished as 7th with 30 seconds to Contador and Leipheimer which means that he will not take the leader´s jersey
Last one was Carlos Barredo! It was for sure that he will loose his jersey after these amazing performances by Leipheimer,Contador and Wiggins. And so he lost 24 seconds to Rogers;39 seconds to Wiggins and 54 seconds to Leipheimer and Contador. This means Leipheimer takes the stage win but Contador the leader´s jersey with 9 seconds to Wiggins!
Stage results
1 | Levi Leipheimer | Team RadioShack | 33'48 | 2 | Alberto Contador | Astana | s.t. | 3 | Cadel Evans | BMC Racing Team | + 2 | 4 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Professional Cycling Team | + 15 | 5 | Lance Armstrong | Team RadioShack | + 25 | 6 | Denis Menchov | Rabobank | s.t. | 7 | Michael Rogers | Team HTC - Columbia | + 30 | 8 | Andreas Klöden | Team RadioShack | + 32 | 9 | Bert Grabsch | Team HTC - Columbia | + 41 | 10 | Koos Moerenhout | Rabobank | + 45 | 11 | Fredrik Kessiakoff | Garmin - Transitions | + 52 | 12 | Robert Gesink | Rabobank | + 54 | 13 | Carlos Barredo | Quick·Step | s.t. | 14 | David Millar | Garmin - Transitions | + 55 | 15 | Arkaitz Durán | Footon - Servetto | + 56 |

Stage 14 : Ferrara - Asolo
Today is a hard stage for sprinters but we should be able to keep Martin´s jersey. Our goal is to counter every attack on the hardest climb today with more than 40 kilometres to go
There were some escapes today, but no important names
On the hardest climb of today´s stage no one made a move and so Mark Cavendish attacked! It was great to see him on this climb while the pack didn´t raise the pace up to here
With only 8 kilometres to go only one escape was still in front,it was Ferrara! His advantage was really big but he was already bushed as his speed slowed up every minute
Behind him was Cavendish in front of the pack by 1 minute. The stage finish is hard but when Cavendish could sprint there, he might be able to reach Ferrara
The pack was prepared for a sprint but if they would sprint for the stage win?
Cavendish could sprint really fast on the final climb!Ferrara was almost standing now as his solo-ride was too hard for him
This is great, Cavendish is reaching Ferrara on the last 400 metres! This would be a important stage win for us and for the sprinter´s jersey
Yes that´s it!It´s unbelievable that he takes the stage win after this hard stage. The pack was too fast for Ferrara who even missed the podium as he finished as 24th while Carrara wins the sprint of the pack in front of Ginanni and Pellizotti

It should give him the edge to have a shot at the sprint jersey. Also impressed that Martin seems to cope so easily with the climbs, eventhough the pace wasn't that tough. He seems hard to shake.
