PCM.daily's 2009 DB: Questions Thread

I've found a few more little bugs. I must say, i dont have the latest patch of PCM but still.. you might want to look into these:
- Volta ao Algarve (4/5) on 21/2 is an ITT over 134 km?
- 2nd stage of La Tropicale Amissa Bongo Ondimba, cant play it in 3D only able to simulate
- some of the free riders dont have a picture but is just a pink square.
Might be due to not having the patch but ?? Especially nr 1, i cant believe it has something to do with updates..
But i wont complain, it was great to have an ITT over 134 km

I am able to install the V3 of the DB to a "dummy" folder to use some of the graphical updates with the V2 DB correct...I just need to install it to a different folder? |

Just in case you want to release that db again. Here is another tiny thing:
-"09fan_top_espagne_grandtour_stage_11.xml" missing in the cmstages folder
Allround its still a good db. |

The TT bug is because you don't have the latest patch. That patch changed the stages for the race. With the original game it used to be a normal stage 134 km, then it was made into a 33 km TT.
It's not because of the db.

Well, yes, although it depends on which kind of graphical files.
Jerseys, for teams and races. For the helmets, frames and wheels I think I can follow the tutorial. |

Hello,
I imagine that this won't be the biggest problem you'll all have to resolve first, but, it would be fine when using cleditor to ad a team for fantasy to have the right contract lenght 'cause i started a new career and four of my guys have "no contract". Yuppi  , I don't have to pay them !

Am I right if I guess that you gave them one year contracts?
If so, it's your own fault. CLE-ditor is based on 08, meaning that if you give your riders 1 year contracts, they'll expire in end-08 -- which is not too good in a 09 DB. |

More of a comment this. Just been simming (up to the June crash) and playing a bit. I must say it's a damn good database and the amount of equipment is hugely impressive. Great work.
Now all I need to do is decide what team I'm going to do a story with. The "shortlist" is currently as 24 teams  |

I crashed with Vacansoleil on the Beverbeek Classic, but passed it by simulating the stage! (the race is just called 'finnish' in the game)
And surprise: GOT AN INVITATION TO GO FOR A WILDCARD FOR THE GIRO D'ITALIA. !!!
So its not fully true that non pro-tourteams cannot go for wildcards for pro-tour stages!
Sofar so good. I very much like the V3 database. So put it back on for others to download! |

can somebody tell me how you invite yourself to a race, as I am playing with barloworld and if I can't ask for wildcard how will I get invited to the Giro, which is one of my objectives.
So if anybody as a tutorial in hannes converter or something, thanks

Well i'm in trouble just little time later((((((..... since ' de omloop van het nieuwsblad 'my races crash while loading. It loads the cyclists till 195/160 and then crashes((....its on all races sofar...like Le Samyn. Toscane..etc....is this a march-bug??? Do i have to go past a certain date? |

I read that some more player have his trouble: everything loads to rider 137/138 and then the game crashes. If there is someone there with a solution, please let me know!
Its no fun tjust to simulate all races(( |

i got past the June bug ok but the game only selected 2 candidates for 2010 world champs. is that normal?
Also, only PT teams in PT races - no invitations for contiental teams. is that normal?

Hi everyone,
I downloaded the V3.2 a few days ago and did a clean install (re-install of pcm etc) and I have to say it's a nice db. thanks!
but not everything is fine. I'm getting really a lot of 3D crashes and that's new since I installed V3.2. My PC (Vista Ultimate 64-bit) is more than suited to run pcm at max and I didn't experience such many crashes before.
E.g. I couldn't play any of the tirreno stages. Every time I played a stage there were random crashes. For the Giro the same in many mountain stages which is a pity as I'm riding with serramenti and Simoni is doing a great job so far.
When simulating there are absolutly no problems.
Btw, I fixed the problem with the wildcars for the other pro tour races myself but I can't believe that this causes the crashes as it seems that I'm not the only one.
To fix the problem with the crashes I tried to replace those "buggy" stages und voila, no more crashes.
So I assume there is something wrong with the stages theirself or Vista just doesn't like them. I hope someone is able to help me or give me a hind how to fix the problem.
