Chaotic finale there. Howard came from a long way back in the last 100 with Boonen just grabbing his wheel. Some sort of mechanical for Greipel in the last few kms?

@Lotto_Belisol boys gave the best on a day when the head was not feeling like racing. We win and loose together. Congrats @Kristoff87.
Tour of Oman (2.HC) - Bank Muscat - Al Bustan (145km)
That`s quite a surprise seeing that the final was the same as last year where lots of gaps were opened.
Also today Froome, Sagan, Stybar and Cancellara attacked but weren`t able to create a gap.

Who kept it all together I wonder Lotto or a combination? Difficult to control on that terrain so they must have done a good job.

Ah ok, thanks. The brief clip I saw came in with a mention of a chain problem for someone who I thought might be Greipel but it was all of the last minute of the stage.
Also a bit tenous for this thread I know but interesting little profile comparison of the incoming classics for all those excited, expectant ones https://twitter.com/VeloViewer/status...12/photo/1 - click the photo on the link to enlarge.

It would by nice one-week stage race.
Die hard fan of Tom Boonen and Quickstep since 2004.
Too bad Mollema had to close a gap to that group halfway the climb. But nothing he could do against Valverde anyway. Valverde looks stronger than last year
Kwiatek showing as expected that he's a superstar in the making.
Mind you, he wasn't stronger, he was just given too much leeway.
Will come 2nd to Martin in the TT tomorrow and then stick with them in the other "mountain" stage....
Martin lost 10 mins btw
And I'm interested if Valverde can show better this year than last. Well, that shouldn't be hard, really. He was riding injured through April last year
