You don't have to downlaod anything, but it might be useful to look at your team
Unfortunately, you have come at a really bad time. I'm about to start a two week holiday, and I won't be able to see which races you're registered for. This means that you can't do anything the next two week except to make a team HQ and cheer for Bretagne where they appear. You will get a PM in september, telling you what to do. I hope you can wait that long, but I understand if you don't.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That's fine, in the meantime I'll catch up with the season so far and look at the other HQs for pointers. I already looked at Bretagne's team, that's why I picked them
Enjoy your holiday! |

Welcome aboard mate!
Like Ollfardh said, you can make a Team HQ and already write about your team. Like summarize the seaso or introduce riders. Looks like only thing you can't do yet is assign riders and choose races, but that's the part hardly anybody cares about anyway here.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.
As there's no rush I'll aim to have the HQ up by the end of August, so I can take some time to try and make it nice.
Whereabouts in the season are we? Directly post-TdF?
And are we allowed to sign any of these custom riders, or do we just go with what's there already? (That's 'we' as in the team, not the royal 'we' ) Either is fine with me. |

No, Bretagne has to do with the 2013 roster. All the rider signing is for 2014, but you can do that of course

Your Highness can sign custom riders. In the EPIC transfer thread, your jester brewers90 compiled a list of custom riders and whom they belong to. Write to the owners if you are interested in them. You can also make custom riders yourself in the Custom Riders Thread, however they will start racing in season 2 then. UCI Governor Ollfardh has given the task of acknowledigng any heirs & bastards to yours truly. For other stuff, the ever-loyal second in command Atlantius can be of assistance.
(Sry, I just had to )
We are right now in the first week of TdF, so this will take some time. Also some other races like Qinghai Lake are currently "on air".

So, Tour should continue and Wallonie should start soonish. Still waiting for a few race planners and Mothbones, so no new startlists going out today.
I can however explain the World Championships already. They will be held at the end of the season and will consist of a RR and a TT, with possibly a U23 version for fun. There will be 24 countries participating with 8 riders and you will be the coaches.
Coaches will be selected on 1) Manager nationality 2) Team nationality 3) First come - first serve basis. So if Atlantius and me both want Belgium and he is first, I will still get the team because of my manager being belgian. Let's say I want Holland instead, I have team nationality, so I will get the team over anyone except a manager who is dutch. I hope that's clear enough.
The 24 nations participating will be the top 24 nations at the end of the season. Unless someone feels like calculating the official team rankings, it will just be the first rider for each country that counts.
Progress points will be earned for you with the results you achieve as a national team manager, but also as a normal team manager for the selections and results your riders get. Custom riders also get some progress points for being selected and for getting results. I still need to work out the details, but basicly getting your riders in the national team will be a good thing.

U23, interesting. Only for riders in Pro Continental Team or World Tour included too? Should be a nice fight of Customies then.
Anyway, cool stuff. Not sure if Austria will be part of World Championship, if yes, I'd take them and lead Löwenherz to World Championship glory.
Also, interested in Germany with NetApp team otherwise but likely knockout or the Communist will go for it too.
If kubys disappears until then (again) I'd be also up for some Czech Republic in the event I don't have a team.

What happens if the countries that get selected don't have 8 riders, like Peru for example

I feel quite embarrassed about this after y'all gave me such a friendly welcome, but RL stuff means I'm unable to give this the attention it needs right now, so I'm withdrawing my application. Sorry to be a tease |
