Somehow RNT actually manages to to alienate there fans a little bit more every single day ever since Bruyneel took over...
As luxemburgian I actually think it is sad that this "luxembourgish" team even exists anymore and that our best cyclists back the the team (not the manager) just because F. Becca invested shitloads of money just for them.
I miss the days when Kirchen was still riding. At least back then there was an alternative to cheer for in the Tour. Well, maybe Gastauer can develop into a decent rider and gets a shot at the tour soonish because I am not going to support any rider that rides for RNT anymore. The Fuglsang case just shows what an a*****e Bruyneel is and what he really cares about: HIS own success not the TEAMS!

RSNT is one hell of a bullshit team this year. What a disappointment. I hope Fuglsang will have a good team next year. |

This is just ridiculous. Fuglsang ain't gonna ride a single world Tour race for the rest of the season with Radioshack, because bruyneel think hfe has made some critical comments about the team in the media. It's now clear that Fuglsang won't ride with Radioshack next season.
that's just stupid. If a rider can't say what he wants/thinks. And btw, he had to ride the Tour, I don't think there are 2 riders better than him at RNT. So he is 100% right imo
Yeah, giving your opinion in the media shouldn't give sporting consequences
I dont agree, you are employee of the cycling team and i would not be much surprised if there is a clause about holding the team secrets and not speaking about inner events to public. He should stay loyal and after his employment end he could talk, that is proffesionality. I know Bruynell is a d*ck and i am with Jakob, but you should not speak in public against your employer, or you have to take the consequences.

Yeah, but the team manager should think about the team, and it isn't good for the team to stop him from riding. |

This pretty much. If he had a "normal" job it'd be much worse for him, so he can consider himslef lucky.

He is exactly thinking about the team. Someone that isn't happy with the team would be a bad influence and move the attention from the actual racing to his problems with the team. That would benefit no one: him, his team-mates, his team in general.
And who the hell would want to work for someone who isn't happy in the team and wants to leave? He would be on his own. Now, he needs to put this season behind him and find a good team where he can get a fresh start.
And in my opinion, talking to the press about what he doesn't like in the team is a coward gesture. If something bothers you go talk to the team's manager and that person only, don't go bitching about your problems everywhere you can.
I don't like Bruyneel, but that's a very normal action to take.

Indeed. Plus sponsorship works a lot on P.R. and talking against your team, no matter that what you say is true, or that it's no big secret, is never something good in that regard.
Now, is this punishment the best suited for that offence ? I have my doubts. |

Give Jungels a few years and you will have another one to cheer.
Fuglsang missing out is exactly why the points system needs an overhaul.

I understand that people say it's Fuglsang's own fault - but how about Chris Horner? He complained just as much, but was rewarded with a spot on the Tour de France team. |

Now the difference is massive here.
Horner is not going to leave RSNT And so any WT points he earns will go to RSNT.
While Fuglsang will leave So his WT points too
What's the point of him riding in WT races and getting WT points, if those points will go to Saxobank next year ?
That's me from team perspective Moraly this decision is wrong, but when you think about the team it makes some sense with current rubbish WT system.

Horner defended Armstrong. One of the biggest sell outs ever, and that's rewarded.

It's not because Fuglsang wants to go that he won't perform well. |

Meanwhile Johnny Hoogerland wants to sue EuroMedia as he apparently still suffers from his crash in Last Years tour...
If I interpret it right, he has tried to reach an agreement with the company but ultimately this failed. Furthermore, the ASO seems to distance themselves from the incident.

No, but there are no points gained thanks to stupid system. He is bitching and not worth any points = almost useless for RSNT...

Can't blame him, that was a cruel accident. |

This. Apparently the blind defence of Armstrong and Bruyneel can buy you a lot these days. |

Well Asskissing on the hill is a skill In this instance it secured him a spot in TdF Personally I think its a miracle that RadioShack hasn't withdrawn their sponsorship yet .. |

Yeah....about that.....somebody please tell me Wiggins is being sarcastic
"I love him," Wiggins said. "I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense. Even his strongest critics have benefitted from him. I don't think this sport will ever realise what he's brought it or how big he's made it.
