Can be, but I haven't changed anything about it, so always funny to see how some riders develop!

Our team:
Favourites:
*** Alexandre Vinokourov, Andy Schleck, Stefano Garzelli
** Domenico Pozzovivo (Colnago), Grega Bole (Lampre), Stefan Schumacher (Miche)
* Miguel Rubiano (D'Angelo), Pavel Brutt (Katusha), Sacha Modolo (Colnago)
Our goal:
When you start with Andy Schleck in a hilly classic, the goal is a win!
A 12-man group attack after 30 kilometres and get a maximum lead of 6 minutes. At the penultimate climb, only 8 remain up front: Moris Possoni (Sky), Mitja Mahoric (Adria Mobil), Jiri Hudecek (PSK), Dmytro Grabovskyy (ISD), Kristjan Koren (Liquigas), Francesco Masciarelli (Astana), Guilaume Dessibourg (Atlas) and Manuele Mori (Lampre). With 32 kilometres remaining, they have a lead of 2'57 to the peloton. Because Lampre, Liquigas and Astana have a rider in the leading group, Colnago and Monster Energy - Ford have to do the work to catch the breakaways.
The last climb has started and 5 riders slowly ride away from the others. Possoni is doing the pace, and is followed by Mori, Mahoric, Masciarelli and Grabovskyy. 12 kilometres before the finish and the peloton is 1'29 behind.
The peloton has difficulties in closing the gap, even Vanendert & Poels can't come closer that much, Andy Schleck decides to launch his attack with 11 kilometres to go, 3 of them uphill. He has to close a gap of 1'15 to the 5 leaders.
He joins Grabovskyy at the summit, but the other 4 are '21 ahead of him. It will be tough to close the gap, as especially Possoni and Mori work hard. Mahoric does a Pozzato (for those who don't know what it is: wheelsucking ) and Masciarelli is loosing contact.
Almost down the hill and Masciarelli has been dropped. Possoni is still in the lead, how can he sprint for the win, after leading the group for th elast 10 kilometres??
Mahoric shows some goodwill and Mori is in the last spot of the leading trio. Andy follows at '20, together with Masciarelli. It looks like he launched his attack to late.
Mahoric wins the sprint and takes his first win of the year, at an age of 35! Manuele Mori gets 2nd place, and Possoni even gets passed by Schleck and ends in 4th. So Schleck gets a podium place, and that looked not impossible at the summit. The peloton finishes 1'13 behind the leaders.

The winner:
Word from the DS:
Andy showed that he was the strongest rider today, but to win the race you must also catch the breakaways. It was our bad luck that the other strong teams (Liquigas, Lampre, Astana, Sky) all had a man in the BOTD, so the work was for us (with Colnago). With 3 stagaires in the team, we know that we are not strong enough to do that. ANyway, in the end happy with 3rd!

The next Italian autumn classic, Milano - Torino. The route is almost completely flat, except for the Colle di Superga with the summit 12 kilometres before the finish. The climb is 6.3 kilometres long with an average gradient of 5.3%. That doesn't ook taht difficult, but the climb has very steep parts (up to 15%) and even some downhill parts in it. After the summit follows a 12km long downhill.

Our team:
The favourites:
*** Damiano Cunego (Lampre), Robert Gesink, Alexandre Vinokourov (Astana)
** Stefano Garzelli (Acqua et Sapone), Stefan Schumacher (Miche), Jelle Vanendert
* Leandro Bertagnolli (Lampre), Domenico Pozzovivo (Colnago), Davide Rebellin (Miche)
Our goal:
Of course we want to take the win with Robert Gesink, but beating Damiano Cunego will be tough.
The climb of the Colle di Superga has started and only 2 rider remain of a breakaway of 10 riders: Fortunato Baliani (D'Angelo) and Manuel Belletti (Colnago). The 10 had a maximum lead of 5'30, but with 19 kilometres remaining, there's only one minute left.
Then commotion in the chasing group. Damiano Cunego and Robert Gesink accidentaly hit each other with the bars, and Gesink crashes on the tarmac. Because of broken shifters, he has to wait for a new bike and has no more change at the win!
The crash causes some shifting in the chasing group. With 15km to go, Baliani and Belletti still lead the race. Jelle Vanendert, Vinokourov, Massimo Codol (Acqua et Sapone) and the Lampre-trio Leonardo Bertagnolli, Manuele Mori and Damiano Cunego. A group with Stefano Garzelli (Acqua et Sapone) follows at 1'07.
Baliani drops Belletti 200 metres before the summit an with 12 kilometres to go he has a 16-second lead to Belletti, Vanendert, Vinokourov, Cunego, Mori and Garzelli, who has closed the gap to this group.
Cunego uses a small ascending part in the downhill to launch his attack. He looked less strong as in the Giro dell'Emilia, but probably that was just comedy. Vinokourov and Vanendert are the only ones that try to follow Cunego.
Vino and Vanendert can close the gap to Cunego and with 3 kilometres remaining, these 3 will fight for the win.
Vino is in leading position, when Vanendert jumps out of the wheel of Cunego under the flamme rouge. Can this be another win?
No..... Cunego again shows that he is in a great form, and wins Milano - Torino. Vanendert finishes in 2nd, Vino in 3rd. And what about Gesink? He finished in 29th position at 3'27. The most important thing is that he doesn't seem injured before Lombardia.

Word from the DS:
We were in shock after the crash of Robert Gesink, but luckily he seems okay, except for some bruises. Vanendert did a great job, but Cunego is a class of his own right now. Let´s go to Lombardia!

The last preparation for Il Lombardia is the Giro del Piemonte. First, take a look at the route in PCM 11±
Hey, isn´t that the same route as in Pars / Bruxelles and Paris / Bourges?? Yes it is..................
So sorry guys, I really didn't feel like playing this race, did this route twice in the last week... So I simulated it, and started with these guys:
And these are the simulated results:
1 | Stanislav Kozúbek | PSK Whirlpool - Author | 3h53'13 | 2 | Constantino Zaballa | Miche - Guerciotti | s.t. | 3 | Paolo Bailetti | De Rosa - Ceramica Flaminia | s.t. | 4 | Nicolas Sanderson | Amore & Vita | + 1'22 | 5 | Sacha Modolo | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. | 6 | Manuel Belletti | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. | 7 | Angelo Furlan | Christina Watches - Onfone | s.t. | 8 | Marcel Kittel | Monster Energy - Ford | s.t. | 9 | Peter Sagan | Monster Energy - Ford | s.t. | 10 | Tom Boonen | Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. |

Cunego is a beast in many stories at the moment ... I can't help but like that Pity for you though. Good luck for Lombardia.

Anyway just check it, and then download the correct stages from https://cyanide-st...amp;t=8809
But they only added Milano - Turin to the downloadable stages so you have to play Paris - Bourges and Paris - Bruxelles with the same stage. |
