What did Dessel manage? Won Tour Med and Tour de l'Ain in 2006, and wore TDF yellow jersey during one day, at mid-race, if I'm not mistaking.
Don't forget that he was top 10 in that Tour.
But I have to admint that Gadret turns in one of the most impressive French GT performances since the millennium. |

Nothing to be to proud of, actually. And the same goes for Gadret.
Anyway, it'd be ludicrous to be proud of anything, it's not like I did anything to help them or am involved in anything.
Even though it was thanks to a big breakaway, Le Mével's TDF top 10 in 2009 was an achievement that pleased me much more. |

Le Mével is a very likeable guy, but I I think Dessel's 6th (?) in 2006 is the most impressive French GC performance between Moreau's 4th and Gadret. Dessel got some time in a breakaway, but he really held his own in the mountains. And didn't he crash and lose time on the Morzine stage? |

You don't get my point. Three out of the four French guys you mentioned are known for eating tictacs. From there on, none of their performances is likely to impress me. Which make Le Mével's the only impressive one in the lot.
I think you're right about Dessel. I'm not sure though, since the last TDF I could really watch properly was in 2005 (I've been working every July since then). |

I dont care how far down he finished, but Voeckler's performance in 2004 was the best.

Contador confirmed he is not going for the win tomorrow and going to take it easy. I'd pick Millar as my bet and Porte and Konovalovas as outsiders. The Pope will move up some places but not enough to get in Top 5 hopefully.

do you think Alberto would have a chance tommorow. Men like Konovalovas did'nt waste much energy today and in previous weeks. So my guess Millar, since he already looked good in earlier stages.

Millar is definately a favourite for tomorrow, together with Porte. Personally I hope Clement can do a decent ride. |

Still we've seen Alberto beat Fabian because recupuration is very decisive in late GT TT's but i don't know if Millar/Porte's recup is better than Alberto's.

Alberto´s recuperation is better but he´s said he´s going to take it easy. |

Millar will be pleased if Contador doesnt go for the win, it makes Millar the real favourite. Hard to beat on paper, assuming something like wind conditions doesnt play an important role

I think Kreuzigers got 5th. Rodriguez will get killed in the TT and Rujano is not that good if I can remember. The only worry is Menchov who sits 20-30? seconds back. |

Given he's a midget, Rujano is the most impressive rider when it comes to ITT. I mean the one who performs the best given what you'd expect from his physical aspect. |

Yes, in case recuperation plays an even bigger role. Havne't you even noticed 1 thing this Giro? (which was already known after lasts giro). Kruijswijks recuperation has been awesome. He was getting better every stage. Just like last year.
So that should actually benefit him even more |
