Who will be Cervlo:s GC contender now?
Not like they had a great GC team with Sastre either(i Guess Cuesta and Gustov will also leave now). Deignan was 9th at vuelta last year and Tondo deserves another chance to prove himself in a GT as he was sick during the giro. Their only confirmed signings for next year are neos Tom Dumoulin and Daniel Teklehaimanot. Im not even sure they are gonna replace Sastre as they have a great Classics and sprint team. |

That's questionable, they have Hushovd and Haussler, but no one capable of performing a decent leadout, but yeah, great classic team.
Maybe they should focus more on that, because theyre usually a disaster in GT's. |

By disaster you mean fact that Sastre hasnt shown what has been expectred fom him in GC Come on!... he is their only top class GC rider.
But lets talk about other results except GC.
2009 Giro: Gerrans won stage, Konovalovas won stage Sastre won two stages.
2009 Tour: Hushovd won stage and green jersey, Haussler won stage
2009 Vuelta: Deignan won stage, Gerrans won stage
2010 Tour: Hushovd won stage

Hushovd said that now when Sastre is gone, he will try to reach top 5 in a GT next year.
Ohh no, he did not, he said Sastre has sucked the whole Cervelo time.

In other words, every single top sprinter out there is either a jackass or on cocaine. Or Freire.

I see you've covered Cav, Petacchi, Freire, Boonen and Hushovd, but what about Farrar and Greipel?
I really think we need a proper discussion about who is a top sprinter anyway. |

Would be quite good for both sides I guess.
He is one of the few riders of Milram, who developed quite well.
Kluge -> Skil-Shimano
Maybe Fröhlinger will follow him.

Geox is Team Footon. So maybe they stay in Pro Tour. I haven`t read much about their new license issues. |

Oh didnt know about Footon giving up sponsor, I think they deserve a PT license they done well in the TDF with Valls and have some very decent young riders.

I was just joking. The only real jackasses as far as I'm concerned are Cavendish, possibly Greipel, and of course Lord Jackass himself, Bennati.

I love it when stereotipical riders go to stereotypical teams. Makes them easier to love or hate. In this case, hate. If only Riccò had gone there, the stereotype would be complete.

I wonder why that is?[/sarcasm]

At this point the questions with the transfer market are where are Kreuziger and Menchov going, and what's happening with the Milram boys, especially Ciolek.
I'm intrigued

Well, the quote directly translated into English will be something like this: - He hasn't really achieved anything in the last two years, Hushovd says honestly.

To be serious, Hushovd only said that Sastre's disappearance do not meen hasta la vista to the Tour de France, and that Sastre never did what was expected by him.

I hope that Cervelo turns into a pure classics team now. I think that would fit them better. They already got a pretty good cobbleteam to build from

He had a poor Giro 2009 especially. Did nothing for the team there.
Sastre is such a crap rider. Geox is out of their mind signing him.
