Interesting move though... Too bad for Saxo Bank that he didn't renew his contract. |

Ah, do you want me to list all the protour teams without GC contenders?
Most have a second string type contender though... not someone who can win but someone with a shot at a top 15 or so in a major tour.
I don't even see that for that team.
FDJ has Le Mevel and Casar. Katusha has Karpets. AG2R has Nocentini/Goubert. Columbia has Kirchen/Rogers. Milram has Gerdeman. Silence-Lotto has Evans. Lampre has Bruseghin. Quickstep has Chavanel. Caisse has Valverde. Astana, Saxo, Liquigas, Rabobank, Euskatel and Garmin all have several.
REally, who doesn't have at least a decent name to throw at a GC top 20 on their team? BBOX? Rolland might even qualify there.
The only one that really fits the bill is Cofidis (that I can think of). Right now that's who I see BMC's GC contender comparing too... unless they get someone. But as I said... great classics team. |

AG2R will lose Goubert, if I'm not wrong he will retire at the end of the season. (and Goubert a GC rider ?... Efimkin is better) |

If you're talking about AG2R, how you could miss Valjavec - their surely best GC contender? |

but i think all teams dont need GC contenders. and making as your goal top 20 is useless. french teams better go for stages. |

Hum I think Efimkin is a little bit better than Valjavec, what did Valjavec the last years ? (I have maybe forgotten something)
