Should Galdos take the green jersey? Keep dreaming
I think there will come too many flat stages for Sanchez to take it

I bet Contador must have had an accident or something because as far as I can see he's not even in top 30
I don't think he's in shape for the tour. Either that or he's just been demoted to helping Leipheimer. He's not been very visible at all.. i'm gonna have my hands full with him in the Vuelta i bet
It looks like Contador, Valverde + Sastre are all peaking for the Vuelta!!! |

Yeah, Zubeldia will have to be superhuman in the vuelta with those 3 peaking, altough Valverde may be a bit tired from the Giro. |

Have you made any selections yet? |

All the other editions have been CDs, just like pretty much all PC games, i just asumed this one would be the same.
Still, it doesn't matter because the new computer i was getting anyway has a DVD player.
Just 2 days till i can play. |

mads i fell in love with the picture of the astanabloke who flew away from his bike and the bike is doing a twist in midair. Quality picture you got there! how much time do you use picking out pictures and stuff like that for each stage? |

I have, and it's more or less the usual suspects. I'll get to that when we get closer to the event.
Edit: Oh yeah, and it's spain

I usually pause the game when i feel it's time for an update for the readers. Then i try to find a situation and angle that looks good. So i guess i spend quite a bit of time getting nice shots. The crashes can sometimes be caught by pausing the second you see the crash announcement. The rider will then for some reason be on his bike, then quickly unpause and pause again and you can get lucky you'll catch them in mid air Or sometimes it happens right in front of your eyes and i just hit P and find a good angle.
One thing that i've realized have messed up a lot of sprints for me is that CTRL + T(or just T) orders your rider to sprint if he's within distance. So be carefull to deselect your riders when your within range of the line and want to take a screenshot(you can actually see it happen in the first picture of the next report, look at aramendia when it's posted) |

No posts tomorrow evening as i'm gonna go see the missus I hope i can squeeze in 3-4 stages before i leave though so we can start the alps |

Tour de France - Stage 12
Aramendia got in the breakaway today. It was a fairly big one with 23 riders in it.
But the peleton was reluctant to give it too much of a gap.
But with 27km to the breakaway still hold a minute lead. The peleton is really moving now and the gap is reducing, but the breakaway is trying to hang on!
While Galdos and Sanchez are positioning themselves in the pack, Bono of Lampre refuses to give in. He has a small gap to the peleton with 3.4km to the line.
1700m, Bono is caught and the sprinters have taken over. Sanchez is well placed and fresh but Galdos again is spent. He simply can't keep up with the pace set by the sprinterteams.
400m to go and it's Elmiger and Davis who've caught the other sprinters of guard.
They wont be caught! Davis breaks out from behind Elmiger
And it's Allan Davis at the line for the second time in this years tour. MArtin Elmiger in 2nd and Erik Zabel in 3rd. Another victory for the Mitzubishi team.

Tour de France - Stage 13
Another flat stage today. After Sanchez 7th spot yesterday we'll try and keep him up front towards the finish. He can't sprint as the sprinters can but he does have some pace in him if he's fresh.
Aramendia tried again today but the pace was absolutely brutal. People like Nuyens, Arvesen and Gilbert were doing their best to weed out the weaker riders and Aramendia had no answer. At 79km the break holds a good 7 minutes on the peleton.
40km, the lead is almost down to 3 minutes. They looks like they'll get caught but they're still giving it their all.
22km and the peleton has them within sight. Some of them try to accellerate again but to no avail. The peleton will eat them up.
4,1km to the line. Sanchez will try to lead out Galdos but again he is suffering too much from the high pace. He is in a good position by now though!
2800m to go, Schumacher and Haussler on the left, Sanchez and Galdos on the right. Sanchez launches the sprint!
1000m to go, Galdos fell of quickly but Sanchez is in the lead! Haussler hasn't broken from his launchers wheel yet though!
400m to go and Haussler hasn't got it in him, here comes Bennati! He looks like he's been shot out of a cannon here!
And Bennati takes it! But more remarkably, Sanchez takes 2nd! That'll put him in the green jersey! And apparently there's a gap in the pack, we don't know who's in there yet.
