if Astana now signs a sprinter we would have two strongshold with Astana v Tinkoff in the sprints (the new signing v Sagan) the mountains (Nibali v Contador) and the cobbels (Boom v Sagan)

Also Veloropa tweets: Majka, Trusov extends. Brutt, P Sagan, J Sagan, Bodnar signs. A lot of east european riders here which I guess is what Tinkoffs wants.
I can't believe I am doing this, but I am actually starting to like a team with Contador in it, due to reasons quoted above.
Now change your name to admircontador
Sagan to tinkoff is a good for both rider and team, I guess.

You could say the same for Sky, Belkin, Quickstep and on and on and on and on.
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

Sagan vs Boom is hardly any sort of battle...

Well, to be completely honest, the strength on cobbles is shown in spring, not in TdF stage. Of course, chapeau to Boom for a great win, but not any of top cobbles guys were really in form for it or had some stupid tactics (Cancellara vs Sagan f.e.).
Boom is far from the top at the moment.

Aaaah... Well, he won't be doing much else at Cannondale.

Sagan vs Boom is hardly any sort of battle... Why exactly? In RvV I say that Sagan might trash Boom, but in PR? Boom can trash Sagan there, no doubt about that. |

I agree, but you have to take in consideration that Boom had a lot of bad luck last years with falls and other things. He has great potential in cobbling, unfortunately it hasn't come out enough, he's only 28 still though with a nice Tour cobbled win so he's not that bad. Certainly an outsider if he's in good shape. Also in the rain he is strongest and it hasn't rained in P-R for years. |

Definetely looking forward to how Tinkoff is able to support him in MSR, Flaandern and P-R.
Even at Milan-SanRemo and specially Last two has to win alone..there is not much support to anyone at decisive moment. Maybe just Omega. |

Boom is definatly not far from top..some bad luck and he should also look after a bit Vanmarcke. |

Good to see Sagan picked probably the best team to fit his qualities. With Bennati, Morkov, Tossato & Breschel there already is a better supporting cast than he had at Cannondale. Though the biggest benefit will be working with Riis who will manage the tactical aspect better.

and Oleg should start a negotiation with Riis that he will continue as manager..as much Oleg likes to be like team manager..man who will decide at races.
Riis is one of the best with tactic and getting max out of riders..
We all remember Tinkoff previous team..I dont know was Oleg behind it.but this nonsens attacks at the Giro day after another..It was like..when today Tinkoff restaurant boys will attack..here we go..another suicide attack. |

Astana has Guardini, although we haven't seen a lot from him since he joined them.

Ironically, one of the key aspects of riding on cobbles is staying on your bike. |

Recently he said his poor results since his giro win were due to allergies, but now he's feeling much better, we'll see...
Magnus Cort is amazing, I can't wait to see him in the WT |
