Mr Ollfardh
For signings how do we confirm them?
The rider posts in this thread to confirm
Shonak, the draft is still far away, so I still have to work out the details. Currently the idea is to make new riders with a short description "This 21 year old German has won a lot of time trials in the amateur circuit". The exact stats will be hidden, but the description should give you a good indication.

Oh, so this will be new custom riders, like created by you? Ok, I love that idea. Still I wish there was still some negotiating involved and such, not just simply reduced to a draft pick order.

As long as Sky doesnt get a Strong, 20 year old stage racer who is one of the worlds best juniors.
Then a draft sounds like fun. Btw ollfardh remember to put over rated riders near the top of the draft and some poorer riders who end up being brilliant lower down in the draft, makes it entertaining and that does happen with other sports drafts.

Well, this game seems to be complicated enough already judging by all the questions I get. This will be something easy for a change

What about free agents. Say I want a rider from Team Colombia or CCC. How would I go about that? And will there be transfers of between teams like in football, or do people have contracts and we can only buy them when it is up. Or will there just be no signings of existing riders at all?

Just opened the DB to check.
He rode the first half season for Vacansoleil and apparently Daily's DB team decided to keep him in (even though they kicked Chaoufi and Serebryakov from Euskaltel).

Is it possible tp sack a rider? I thought I've read about it somewhere, not sure though and it's not in the rules on page 1. |

Yup, as you can't go over 30 riders.

Why don't you just give everybody a budget? Surely that would be the easiest system? You can use that budget to either buy custom riders (18 y/o costs a lot less than a 23 y/o) or try to buy real riders from other teams. If you sell one of your prize assets to a top team for xx million pounds (or whatever the currency is), you will then have tons of money to outbid the others for the custom riders.
Then it brings in tactical transfers. like OPQS selling one of their 74 classics riders to raise money to buy a top stage racer, or me selling the piles of shit I have to get a good rider.

Money will come in at well, but I don't want to go into detail about next season yet, let's focus on the present.

Yeah, I only talk to Greg, Taylor and Tejay. The rest don't deserve my time.

Ollfardh, in the custom rider section would you mind saying who made the rider, just to help, as you know I can no longer open 3/4 the pages on this forum. |
