The US Junior National Championships just finished with my team Captain taking 11th in the Road Race. Northern Californian riders went 1-2

My teamate and big favorite for the 15-16 road race after finising 5th in the TT and 3rd in the Crit crashed on the first lap and broke his collarbone, He would have won.

Also the u23 womens road race occured the winner was some... well judge for yourself

https://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9tVkGP8kAcI...G_1084.jpg

more importantly the women who was second is my "teamate" and she recieved a grant from USA cycling womens development and will be going to the Tour of Missouri, She kicks ass.

I can plainly see so. Dario Pieri in the middle, though...

Saunier's got in their minds to win the Tour of Portugal. Didn't start very well at all.

Marchante and Cobo each lost 38 seconds in an 8km prologue...

I wonder how much they'll lose in the 40km final TT...

either way, they still have a chance. There's a million different mountains in the middle, so.

Can't wait for saturday with the queen mountain stage and the 15 or so climbers vying for the overall win to start shooting up the 30km final climb Smile

David Bernabéu, Félix Cárdenas, José Azevedo, Ruben Plaza (who won the prologue), Santi Pérez (the good old "I'm beating Heras on the climbs, oops I tested positive", seems back to decent form), Francisco Mancebo, Eládio Jimenez, Hector Guerra (who is my pick for the overall win), Koldo Gil, David Blanco, Ezequiel Mosquera, Juan Cobo and José Gomez Marchante for the overall.

Agritubel has a gagload of sprinters (Feillu being the biggest name), while Barloworld has Baden Cooke (who sucks, but that's irrelevant), Lampre's brought along Napolitano and there are a few other names.

Significant other riders include Enrico Gasparotto, Cândido Barbosa, Manuel Cardoso, Nuno Ribeiro, Steve Zampieri, Tyler Farrar, Chris Sutton, Dan Martin, Steve Cozza (3 of these 4 Slipstream guys are only here to please Levi. In terms of quality they are nowhere near the rest of this list  ), Ricardo Mestre, Martín Garrido, and the "great white hope" Tiago Machado.

And a bucketload of promising youngsters who will no doubt show up so that one of them can be the usual revelation. As we know, almost every year there's a revelation who ends up being a decent rider (Vladimir Efimkin, etc)
