Some pictures I've taken this morning near Castelnaudary:

The morning breakaway.

Orica Greenedge in front of the peloton.
;
Contador may hide behind team mates but Cadel Evans is watchful

Blel Kadri (ALM) with the kom jersey at the end of the peloton.

Water domestique for Saujasun.

I don't get it.
Of course, it's all suspicious, but is that new?
I wonder if the guys that keep talking about dopers actually enjoy the stage. I just shut the part of my brain that thinks about doping off, and try to enjoy. I know that they(SKY)'re probably on doping, but what difference does it make to constantly think about it? It's not like 'oh, that person might think we dope, lets stop it'.
We had a nice mountain stage, just focus on that, not on doping.

Because it was a crap mountain stage. Because one team was so dominant there was no suspense. Because of doping. |

Seriously, compare a sprint stage where you have 5k of excitement and you don't know who wins until they cross the line with a stage where you have 5k of semi-excitement when you only wait for Sky to drop everyone and ask yourself who drops first, and then you can take a shower with 4k to go without missing anything important.
The most exciting thing about this year's GC is betting on when it has to be edited. This year already?
Even Contador knows that flat stages are boring:

I see what you mean, but I found the mountain stage quite nice. This is better than a 12-man group getting to the finish and sprinting to the line or something like that. At least we had some action, what the Giro lacked a bit sometimes, IMO. And don't forget that the Giro was dominated as well.

Pretty happy i missed that stage today. I can't stand watching super-dominating, boring dope-heads securing the Tour-win on first and not even brutal mountain-stage.. It's too much Lance in there...
So actually i won't watch too much Tour this year more time for other things, thank you, Sky!

I enjoyed the stage a lot! For me Quintana did very well and I was surprised to see Anton do as well as he did. Shame that Hesjedal couldn't ride well today, but atleast a few of my other favourite riders did pretty well today.
The biggest surprise of the day for me, was Porte nearly dropping Froome and then basically riding the same speed as Froome the rest of the way up the climb, after he dropped back to Quintana and then dropped Quintana when Froome went ahead.
Biggest disappointment for me was Purito.
And for NBC and probably SBS viewers too, how many times did Paul Sherwen say "this is the renaissance of Colombian cycling" today? My god I think he said that more than once per minute in the final 5km of the Pailheres.

I still cant believe what i saw today. Is Froome and SKY so stupid to do such a crazy performance after biggest scandal in sports history with Lance. To beat his doped performances. This is too much, stop it please.
Edit: And i agree it was good thing that Roman stayed with Albert o today. If Contador is really done as dominator, Kreuziger will get surely some chances.

I thought that was a very watch able stage - obvious from the comments in here several people are disgusted with it. I thought it was a classic hard AX 3 Domaines stage up there with some of the better ones I youtubed this morning.
Loved the attack by Quintana, though in retrospect it appeared foolish, it certainly raised the excitement. Poor old Tommy Voeckler was utterly powderpuff there with his usual facial expressions. Amazing descent by Kennaugh.
Porte and Froome rip the whole thing to shreds. Forums go ape. Contador seemingly pedalling squares again. Valverde battling, Belkin boys having super day, I mean seriously Van Dam attacking Conta... That is one of the images of the day.
Ignoring Froome and Porte, several riders had an abysmal day even in comparison to the 'human' riders
Contador was really really average. He'll hang on I guess tomorrow, but he could be seriously duffed up in the TT next Wednesday and not just by the Sky Bots. He is really struggling for a podium. What makes it worse is that his team look pretty solid around him Roche, Rogers and especially Kreuziger were with him at bottom of final climb.
Evans and BMC had an absolutely appalling day, not as bad as Pinot. They look likely to not have a top 10 contender from having two potential podiums.
Pinot - what reason is there for the poor descending? You'd like to think he can get better with experience. It is possible he was just tired and blown also.
Finally at sylvio: Great pics - like the polkadots one, the Lampre rider is even smiling. Didn't see Kadri all day on the TV coverage!

I loved today's stage, full of excitement and well Froome deserves respect for his performance. It may look like it's doped but I will not assume that until there is hard evidence, if not I guess he's just amazingly good. |

podium battle could become interesting though. Porte might have to sacrifise himself too early in some of the stages seeing Sky train is not that superb as last year.
Valverde, Mollema, Rodriguez, Contador, Kreuziger all have a shot imho. |

But more importantly, look at the Lampre guy on the left. With a smile so big on a stage like this, he must have been telling the best joke OF ALL TIME.

I thought that pre-tour.
On todays evidence though, Sky could have turned up with just Porte and Froome and still won. Porte looked like he could have done the stage again at the end lol.
Although to be fair, I don't think the Sky train is weaker as much as the field is far stronger this year.
Nice racing today though. Quintana's attack was great, but he needed someone to go with him. I think the problem was just that Contador is no-where near what he was, so where Saxo should have thrown someone up the road with Quin, they had to stay back and help Contador.
Interesting though that evreyone is raving about Froome being doped though. For sure is rather suspect (And that probably an understatement but I find Tem Dam's performance even more so. |

Pretty much. To be fair, every rider that has won anything for the last ... forever pretty much says the same thing. |
