That's a strong team for CT indeed g_Mazta. Welcome on the forum
And .1 & especially .HC races give a lot more points than .2, so you should focus on them. At rules -> points(if I recall correctly), you can see the amount of points.
@Cio Hell no, you're going fast

I managed to get through 2015 with Stölting. (yeah. really )
Needless to say promotion was very easy with my fitness schedules, 2000 points separated us from third ranked PCT team in the end, and I even didn't have to give any fuck about post-June races.
Small reinforcements to adapt to World Tour racing, with Kern and Reimer the most important ones. The team stays and will always stay 100% German by the way.
Herklotz AND Dehoust had a calm year progression-wise with a 1 in gene_i_year_progression each, but I don't mind as it keeps a bit of realism.
That said, there is basically no potential left for any rider bar some stage racers (Herklotz, Dehoust, Semtner, Beuchel), Breitner as a potential Top 10 contender for the Ardennes and the two worst riders.
A short preview for 2016: Dehoust will probably target Giro and Vuelta, while Silvio has his first shot at winning me the challenge

Just to check if it's confirmed: If I install patch 1.0.2.0 first and then start the carrer then install patch 1.0.3.0 it will fix the 2.HC bug? |

It works for me when progressing to a new season, so I guess it works when starting a new career as well.

Yeah, I figured .2 was a bit to easy, so I managed to squeeze some .1 and .HC races into my schedule.
And thanks for the "Rules -> points" tip. I hadn't noticed.

Cio, did your game got pink flags after installing the patch 1.0.2.0? If so, I need the Local.cdb that comes with the FCDB to fix it. |

My team for next season is nice, but soo many shirts waiting for me to start a career/kill my current motivation. *must resist*.. *MUST RESIST*.
Damn.
I shouldn't leave my game at the planning when I leave for a week, it's a motivation killer to have to start with planning right when you get back from holiday. Especially with uneven numbers, so that I can't fit them in good groups. Also the fact that I'm getting denied for almost every race, despite being one of the top CT teams.
Learnt from that mistake, haven't taken a decision about continuing my game or not.

Not receiving race invitations bugged me long enough, I simply use the editor.
I applied for 15 races up until March, and got rejected by 14.
As a WT team.

I do as well, normally, but I won't do that if it's about almost all my races.

One thing I wonder though. This might be the wrong thread to ask this but bear with me (or point me in the right direction if you like).
I'm really having trouble with the hill/mountain stages ending with a downhill slope.
Like on the last one I played, I got the climber points on the final summit before the downhill, and my man was in a break with appx. a 1'40 lead on the pack.
My climber was about 4 points better at climbing than the other 3 riders in the break, so i figured, either he would take i home, or my guys in the pelotone would catch up.
but no, one of the other riders (about 6-7 points weaker climber) won the stage. I would have thought he would have been spent after trying to keep up with my climber.
And I also thought that my other guys about 1'40-ish behind with 15 downhill KMs to go could catch them.
What is your tactic for catching a breakaway in a downhill slope?

So what about his DH? (downhill) - much more important when road goes down Without this you could forget about wins by downhill ending.
about tips, I don't have any, played 2 races with similar ending only and had no luck, finished in top 10 only, few better or same riders then mine leader ahead. (played on hard)
don't expect wining every race, in my carrier I finished 8. race with only one time win by early break (really close one, peloton were few bikes behind and fellow buddy next to me)
Yep, thats me down here...

Well actually the rider who won that stage was better than i first gave him credit for. He really shook up the GC ranking on the 2nd to lanst stage of the Rhone-Alpes Isere with this win. Suddenly my GC went from an ok lead to lagging with almost 30 secs. Luckily, or should I say skillfully my man took it back on the last stage and I won all jerseys on that tour. Really nailbiting stuff though.

I,m starting to realize that, but I will never accept it

Ok, I'm going to ask? Is there any bloody way that in the rider's goal page to only appear (bare in mind I'm playing with a CT team) the race's my team is on? Cause it's fairly stupid to appear there the TdF as my team is CT... |

Would be a great option, but nah, there's no option
Keep in mind that some people change the races they enter in the end of the season halfway the season, after 6/1(last day of goals changing). So I'm not sure if it would even be possible...

Race planning is a horror for me with recent state of things, it took me some four hours to do the plan for my CT team and still rider have some 40-60 race days, because of 90% refusal rate, when i requested some invitations.
I hate switching from one window to another all the time, why it cant be all in one place (team goals, riders objectives, schedule and so).

I've recently started my 2nd season on the fcd database with Blue Water Cycling. After a shocking 1st season with just 1 win coming at the end of the season I've already got 3 so far this year. Here's my team;

Congrats, you have been succesful in implementing the famous marginal gains into the PCM.
I can see that happening with Kennaugh irl in year or two.
Anyway, after horrible thing called season planning iam ready to roll with my german/czech custom team. We start with the exotic trip to New Zealand to give our riders good preparation for the season in warm conditions, as it is still January. We need to prepare Herklotz for "Coppi e Bartali" and Kluge for "Dwars door vlaanderen" later in early season. Geschke will target hilly races in February and March.
