I never thought I'd say this, but... Gesink seems to be biggest favourite to end on the podium now (apart from Nibali ofcourse).
I never thought I'd say this, but I disagree
Nah, not the biggest IMO, f.e. Scarponi seems a better bet for me.
But yeah, Gesink is looking really good at the moment, and a podium spot is really one of the possiblities.
Also, it'd be nice if it happens, since the Stat Discussions guys that complain about Gesink would finally shut up
Don't mess it up Robert, please don't!

Samu looks quite bad atm, for me at least.

Yes. Tbh, I didn't have too high hopes of him at the start of the Giro, but I'm starting to get hope again
Now, Gesink, don't ruin that
Looking forward to the first real mountain stage tomorrow at least, not only because I want to know if Gesink can continue his decent rhythm.

Well, that is John Degenkolb's Giro adventure over for the year. Retired from the race due to needing a higher Recovery attribute .

There goes my Velogames team to bust. Meh sprints now. Bouhanni and Viviani should challenge him, but Cav should take the remaining sprint stages. |

Best decision for him. Don't stretch your body when you're young. |

Any hope for rain in Northern Italy next week?

Horrible weather expected Friday, and Monday isn't good either. Don't know all the stages and their dates exactly, so are these mountain stages?

Can't look further than Wednesday next week btw.

Currently still snow on Galibier, Stelvio only from Bormio. Bad news for Wiggo, bad news for the spectacle and stages I fear

Yeah they are still trying to clear the passages properly, even at this point... The weather is helping that, but its going to be tight.
General weather is poor through the end of the week and weekend. Better across next week, with the end of the final week looking rather nice

Well, the temp on the Galibier was still around 0

Whoever said "bad news for Wiggins": he's had ONE CRASH. He's so far behind due to early on laziness, not horrible fate.

3, I think.
1 in the TT, and 2 in that stage where you probably think he crashed once
This was said during the race though, not sure if it was declared false after the race.
(It turns out that he crashed before he got dropped the first time as well, at least that was a rumour)

He's also so far behind due to the most horrible downhilling skills ever seen in cycling. To quote Eddy Merckx (not literally, but that's the gist of it): "Never seen anything like it. I don't understand it" |

Betancur to have the form for the steep bit 4km out, get enough rope and have enough moitvation (following the embarassment of stage 9) to raise his arms for real this time. Also expect him to take a good look at the stage timer too before doing so to make sure it doesn't read +44 seconds or some such. |

I guess if Betancur will be a consistent rider over the next two weeks, I can count him for a Podium overall finish. Well just a guess.

I just thought he had a flat in the TT. Think he just fell twice. |
