But that's why I brought word "direct". In this type of situation GC contenders should wait for GC contenders, sprint contenders should wait for sprint contenders (if it's far enough from finish of course) etc. If it would be a breakaway with Morabito in it and he have been fallen. Imo, other breakaway riders should wait for him.
Morabito is BMC's "GC contender". Before you start laughing, remember Froome 2011. Would you have stopped for him?
It's either wait for all, or wait for no one, anything in between is just open for hypocrisy. Take a moment, if you wish, to read the last pages of the Paris - Nice thread. You'll notice that no one condemns Movistar as harshly as Sky has been here. Of course, for some reason Valverde has more fans than Levi, and Movistar isn't hated (or strongly disliked) by many as Sky is, but I'm sure that hasn't anything to do with all this.
1. That's why you earn your respect through the years. Valverde is a Vuelta, Pro Tour, LBL etc winner. Morabito has not proved to be a GC contender. Speaking about Froome. In top 3 of Vuelta since stage 10. He earned those rights through the race and definitely was seen as a contender at least from week three.
2. The better you perform the more haters you have. Also including the fact that you have risen in 2 years from zero to hero ads more doubters too. |

Ok, we better drop this argument now. There's no way we're going to agree, so I'll agree to disagree.

Just watched the highlights of stage7 on itv4
What a finish! Stannard and Froome were immense!
But now i feel sky will just give up on swift and leave him to do it himself...
I also love Armendia!

Fair enough. I'm not trying to convince you. I'm just making my point. |

Holy crap the average speed is insane so far. The stage is going to end over an hour early!

It's more that the organizers fucked up the expected average speed.

Still, they rode at 48 average till the first climb. That's a bit nuts
