In a meantime it was one of the classics in Belgium.
With no good cobble riders, and half of my team in Spain, I didn't expect any good results there, however I tried my best to get best result possible by Burlakov.
Race didn't start very well form me, as in slashing rain tiny youngster Giner felt off.
Burlakov was protected by Rassmuesn as long as he was able to keep peloton's pace.
However Burlakov lost some energy on cobbles and shortly dropped down. He still got decent 13th position.
Rac was won by Matthieu Ladagnous, who - alongside with another 2 riders - was in early breakaway.
And after the race my game crashed again, so it looks like I still have this problem with memory. Luckily enough, my save wasn't affected this time.

In Spain 191 riders headed to Manresa, however only 190 got there.
Whole my team stayed in peloton, as Barton collected enough points already, and at some stage I had to took over the pace of it, as with 80 km to go breakaway had over 8 min lead.
There were few attacks launched on final climb (including Contador), but none of them was successful, as peloton was going pretty fast.
Shortly after the climb, with 15 km to go, Barton counter attacked 2 riders, but they were also absorbed by the peloton.
After another few thwarted attacks it was Moreno Moser against 54-man peloton. He nearly made it, but was overtook on final meters by Rui Costa. Race leader - Vicenzo Nibali came 3rd, and Rolland was last in his group, finishing 8th.

Penultimate stage of Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
There were 2 breakaway groups - a 3-man E1, and 2-man E2. And just when E1 was nearly 7 min ahead of the peloton, with 90 km to go I realized it's my last year's Vuelta's nighmare - Thibaut Pinot in it. I took over the peloton, but it was too little too late. He managed to win the race with over 3 min lead, but that only moved him to 21st in GC.
Another 2 breakaway riders crossed the finish line, and then eventually peloton came in. Rolland, leaded by Cardo did pretty good, and for the moment I even thought he's gonna be first, but on final meters Mauro Finetto passed him, but on the good side - he was better than Nibali and Contador on this stage.

Contsupreme - by "top rider" you mean Nibali, Pinot or my top rider, which is Rolland? |

Then it was another cobbled classic not made for my team.
Burlakov dropped of the peloton on second cobbled section, and eventually he didn't even finish the race. It was Sep Vanmarcke, who got the win with over 1 min lead.
My best rider - Enrique Sanz was 47th.

Last day in Catalunya - a short trip to Barcelona.
Despite few breakaways, and leading 5 groups, it ended up with a mass sprint finish, and yet again it was Vicenzo Nibali, who was the strongest.
Pierre Rolland couldn't keep his, and many other riders' pace, finishing only 10th, but he managed to keep his 2nd place in GC.
Chris Barton and Josep Cardo also finished top 15.
Volta Ciclista a Catalunya (WT)
Overall: 2nd Rolland
Points: 3rd Rolland
Mountain: 1st Barton
Young: 2nd Cardo
Team: 2nd
Not a bad tour for my team. Considering many great climbers that took part in the tour - 2nd place for Rolland is great result. Another Polka dot, due to great performance (especially on stage 3) from Chris Barton. Solid effort from youngster Cardo, good team result. At the moment they are 1st in WT ranking, just ahead of Team Argos.

After that my team took part in 2 minor races. First one - Route Adelie de Vitre (1.1) I had to simulate, as that's the race that finishes on last 700 m, when all the riders just stops. Anyway, simulation was enough for Boeckmans to bring the team a win.
Second one - Hel van het Mergelland (1.1) was finishable.
Again I gave Burlakov off, and it was Boeckmans, who I counted on. With pretty weak sprinters he didn't disappoint, and got 2nd win in 2 days.
His lead-out - Alex Rasmussen also had a decent race, and finished 6th.

Next on my calendar was Ronde van Vlaanderen (WT).
After few cobbled sections peloton was teared apart, and I tried my best to keep Burlakov in the peloton. With 120 km to go Peter Sagan launched the attack.
I did my best to catch him, as he was a big threat. Then Thomas and Meersman tried their luck. Eventually race edned up with a 14-man mass sprint finish with Burlakov among them. My sprinter did unsurprisingly well finishng 2nd, way behind behind Vanmarcke.
