Don't really agree.
Ecuador isn't good at all. Dutch playing rubbish though, but they do have to get used to the formation as well. I hope that's it at least.
A lot of the players on the field have a lot of interest from big clubs, btw.
Awesome assist from (Personal favourite) Clasie btw. Van Persie finished it off in style.
@Luigi
Immers is underrated. Would be among the best AZ players. Not in terms of technical skills, but he's really useful.

maybe, I just can't judge him without any bias. he played for ADO (a team which I generally don't like) and his remarks don't help either (March 2011 against Ajax) so yeah hate him

and The Netherlands are losing a lot of UEFA points this year
speaking of that, does 1/8 finales in the Champions league give more UEFA points then 1/4 Europa League

Guys, here's a question: should I make this thread a temporary place for your view on the Dutch team in Brazil, or should I leave that to the World Cup thread?

No, because clearly the Dutch team wasn't notable at all yet this WC.
I'm thinking a lot of Eredivisie players have got a big increase in their (transfer) value yesterday

Guess that's already clear then
Was quite a scene yesterday, with my dad screaming his lungs out of his body whenever the Dutch scored, and me replying with "They'll be knocked out in the Round of 16 anyway"

But for further talks about van Gaal's squad in Brazil, I'd indeed advise to visit the World Cup thread
This thread will be updated whenever there's important Eredivisie news, or when PEC Zwolle takes on Ajax for the Johan Cruijff Schaal.

I wonder, is it time for a new topic?
And yeah. Well, it can't be a bigger screwup in Europe than NL had last year
I was there at FC Groningen yesterday. Meh. They got screwed by the ref, though.
PSV and FC Twente should definitely pull through to the EL Group Stage.
PEC meh.
Ajax is already qualified for the CL group stage.
I can't see Feyenoord qualifying for the CL group stage, but EL group stage should work.
Playing Besiktas is do-able. If they win, they have the last CL playoff, which I can only see them having a chance if they draw Bayer Leverkusen or Bilbao.
On the other hand, they might draw a club like Arsenal there too. Feyenoord - Arsenal would be a great match to visit and I'd definitely go ''all the way'' to Rotterdam for that.
Still, if they'd lose the CL playoff, they still end up in the Europa League, which is okay for now.
Has been a while since we last had European football, which makes sense considering where we came from the last years.
(Please, nobody look up when Feyenoord last reached the group stage of EL/CL)
But alright, first Besiktas.
Daaaamn, we need a striker.

Look at all the AZ players playing at the Dutch team...
Oh wait, that never happened.
Clasie and Kongolo still there though. And Boëtius and Vilhena will probably get called up again soon too(both in pre-selection, and Boëtius already appeared).
De Vrij still there. For now. Lets just not hope he goes to that Nazi club after all.

Yes, Lazio is a Nazi club. I'm serious. Facist, neo-nazi, whatever.

Stijn Schaars but AZ is more of an international team, it's harder for players to be selected their country then for Holland. also how many Feyenoord players played for a different country. nobody, atleast we had this guy

Yeah, because the US has a better football(yes, I said it) team than the NL has
Paraguay(Ortiz) too
Pellè should've been selected for Italy though.
