I have never seen Lövkvist that strong before. It was really nice to see him attacking like that. He cracked Garzelli at the top of the first kickup.
Weening deserved the stage win after that nice ride.
I got really scared when I saw Slagter lying on the ground, but it felt much better when I saw him move and speak. I hope he will be alright.
Contador didn't look very good on Croce di Fighine. I wonder how his form is. At least he followed on the final climb. I hope to see some more struggling from him in the mountains.

I think there wasn't enough Strade Bianchi in the last kms, it most of the riders aiming for the GC came back on the flat road it didn't have enough impact on the race like last year.
Team Europcar !!

Surprised at Spilak. He wasn't a big favourite. But I thought he had a chance going for Top 15. He lost 10 minutes today.
He cracked Garzelli at the top of the first kickup.
Garzelli managed to hold on and finished 15 though.
A few more names:
Pozzovivo 25"
Sastre/Seeldraeyers/Tschopp 28"
Gadret 58"
Machado 3'03"
Visconti 5'16" (doesn't seem to have the form)
Popo 5'31" (bye bye)
Porte came 18'28 minutes down with Cavendish/Renshaw group. Nice achievemnt by him *claps*

I know, but he couldn't follow Lövkvist on the steep part of the climb.

God, another crash, glad to hear that Slagter is ok.
Machado losing time, hopefuly he'll get ready for a stage win.
An in another hand, nice to see the Colombians plus Lofkvist, Kruijswijk and Kiserlovski around.

I think Garzelli is looking for The stage win to Nevegal. Like last year. If he saves energy where all big guns waste energy he's probably the fastest.

Great ride by Weening. He's in a great shape, also finished 6th in Romandie.
Also, I think Kruijswijk is the new wearer of the white jersey. Pretty good day for Rabo. It's a shame that Slagter had to withdrew from his first GT like that though.
